11 Assembling your phone Insert the SIM card and charge the battery to use your phone. SIM card When you re gister as a subsc riber with a ne twork op erator, you get a SI M (Subscribe r Identity Module ) card.
12 To insert t he SIM card and charge the batte ry 1 Slide the cover open and lift it off. 2 Insert the SIM card. Make sure the SIM card is placed under t he silv ery holde rs. 3 Place the batt ery in the phone w ith the label side up and the connector s facing each other.
13 5 Connect the charger to th e phone. The symbol on the charger plug must fa ce upwards. 6 It may take 30 minutes for the battery icon to appear. 7 Wait approximately 2.5 hours or until the battery icon indicates that the battery is fully charg ed. For an indication of charging, press to activate the screen.
14 To insert a nd remove a M emory Stick Micro™ (M2™) 1 Open the cover and i nsert the memory card (with the contacts fac ing down). 2 Press the edg e to release and to remove. 16 Start up menu Each time you turn on the phone, you can select to listen to music only - instead of using the phone with full functionality. Music only means all tran smitters o f the phon e are turned off, preventing disturbance of sensitive equipment, for example, in an airplane or in a hospital.

40 Entertainment Walkman ® player The Walkman ® player is an all in one music and video player. The following file types are supported: MP3, MP4, 3GP, AAC, AMR, MIDI, IMY, EMY and WAV (16 kHz maximum sample rate). You can also u s e streamed files that are 3GPP compatible.
