When you turn off the power of your amplifier (receiver) the menu setting for the player such as Pl ay back Memory may be lost.

48 Sound Adjustme nts Changi ng the Soun d If the DVD is recorded with multilingual tracks, you can select the langua ge you want while playing th e DVD. If the DVD is recorded in multiple audio format s (PCM, Dol by Digital , or DTS), yo u can select t he audio fo r mat you wan t while playing the DVD.
Sound Adjustment s 49 When you selec t “ AUDIO, ” the channel s being play ed are display ed on the scre en. For examp le, in Dolb y Digital format, multiple signals ran ging from m onaural to 5.1 chann el signal s can be record ed on a DVD. Depending on the DVD, th e number of the recorded cha nnels may d iffer.

Sound Adjustment s 51 If the pl ayer is set up to ou tput the si gnal from the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL or COAXIAL) jack, the surround effect will be heard on ly when you set “ DOLBY DIGITAL ” to “ D- PCM ” in “ AUDIO SETUP.
