8 Notes on using the camera [ Int ernal memor y and “ Memory Stick Duo” media back up Do not turn off the camera , remove the battery pack, or remove the “Memory S tick Duo” me dia while the access lam p is lit. Ot herwise, the internal memory data or “Memory Stick Duo” media may be damaged.

10 1 Preparing the bat tery pack 1 Insert the battery pack into the batte ry charger. 2 Connect the battery charger to the wall outlet (wall socket). The CHARGE lamp lights up, and charging starts. When the CHARGE lamp turns off, charging is finished (Normal charge).
11 2 Inserting the bat tery pack/a “Memory Stick Duo” media (sold separately) 1 Open the battery/“Mem ory Stick Duo” media cover. 2 Insert the “M emory Stick Du o” media ( sold separately). 3 Insert the battery pack. 4 Close the battery/“Memory Stick Duo” media cover.

18 Detecting the shooting condi tions (Scene Recognition) The cam era autom aticall y detects the shoo ting condi tions, an d then tak es the shot. 1 Select (Auto Adjustment ) mode on the mode dial . 2 Press MENU b utton (pag es 24, 25). 3 Select (Scene Recognition) with v / V on the contr ol button .
19 Viewin g/del eting im ages 1 Press (Playback). If you press when the camera is powered off, the camera is turned on automatically and set to playback mode. To switch to the shooting m ode, press again. 2 Select an image with b / B on the contr ol button .
20 [ To view an i ndex scree n Press (Ind ex) while a singl e image is displaye d. Then, sele ct an image with v / V / b / B . To return to the single image screen, press z . • Each time you press (I ndex), the number of ima ges on the index screen incr eases.
21 [ To view i mages on TV Connect the c amera t o the TV wit h the cable for multi -use te rminal (suppl ied). To view on H D (High De finitio n) TV, an HD Output Ad aptor Cab le (sold sepa rately) is need ed. • If you set the image size to [16:9], you can record images in the size that fills the entire screen of the HD TV.

33 The remaining charge indicator is incorrect. • This pheno menon occurs when you use the ca mera in an extre mely hot or col d locatio n. • A discre pancy aros e between the rema ining char ge indicat or and the a ctual rema ining battery charge.
