9 1 Preparing the bat tery pack 1 Inser t the battery pack into the battery charger . 2 Connect the batter y pack to the wall outlet (wall socket). The CHARGE lamp lights on, and charging starts. When the CHARGE lamp turns off , charging is f inished (Practi cal charge).
10 2 Ins erting the battery pack/a “Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied) 1 Open the batter y/“Memory S tic k Duo” cover . 2 Insert the “ Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied) all the way in u ntil it clic ks. 3 Insert the battery pack. 4 Close the battery/“ Memory Stick Duo” cover .

13 Shoot ing imag es easil y (Auto ad justme nt mode) 1 Select a mode with the m ode switch. Stil l imag e: Select . Movie: Select . 2 Hold the camera steady , keeping y our arm at yo ur side. 3 Shoot w ith the shutter button. Movie: Press the shut ter button fully down.
14 [ Using the zoom Press the zoom b utton. • When the zoom scale exceeds 3×, the camera uses the Digital Zoom function. • The camera zooms slo wly while shooting a movie. [ Quick Re view (Chec king the last still image y ou shot) Press b ( ) on the control button .

27 [ The ap pro x imate rec or ding time of movies (Un its: hou r : min ute : se cond ) • Movies with the size set to [640(Fine)] can only be recorded on a “Memory Stick PRO Duo”. • When images recorded using earlier Sony models are played back on this camera, the display may differ from the actual image size.

29 The batter y remaining indicator is incorrect. • Th is phenomenon occurs when you use the cam era in an extremely hot or col d location. • Th e displayed b attery rema ining differs from the cur rent one. Ful ly discharge a nd then charge the batt ery p ack to corr ect th e display .
