11 Getting started Notes on alkaline bat teries • The battery remaining indicator may not display the correct infor mation and the power may shut off even if the battery remainin g indicator shows sufficient battery life remaining. • Do not m ix new and old batteries.
12 Charging t ime This repres ents the time require d to charge fully depleted Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries using the supplied battery charger in an environment where the ambient tem perature is 25°C (77°F). • Charging is complete in approximately six hours.

24 Basic still image shooting – Using auto mode Holding the cam era correctly When sh ootin g pi ctures with the camera, be careful so t hat your fingers do not block the lens portion , finder window , flash emitter, or AF illumina tor (page 8). , Se t the mode sw itch to , an d turn on th e camera .

50 • When you are shooting movies and you choose Multipoint AF , the distance to the center of the LCD screen is estimated as an ave rage , so the AF works ev en with a certain amount of vibration.

In a case like t his, use AF lock to focus on the subject, and then recompos e the picture and s hoot.
