ABTI-GM1 2 INST ALLING THE ABTI-GM1 WITH THE MOTOROLA IHF1000 Note: 8-Way to 8-W ay connector harness is used in this application. NO TE: The ISO to 8 way connector harness will NO T be used in this application. INST ALLA TION PROCEDURE 1) Disconnect the vehic le batter y .
ABTI-GM1 3 3) Insert the 24 pin plug on the Class 2 cable into the rear of the radio. 4) Insert the 12 pin plug on the Class 2 cable into the rear of the radio.
ABTI-GM1 4 5) Connect the 24 pin cap on the Class 2 cable to the 24 pin plug connected to the vehicle (the connector that was removed from the back of the radio). 6) Connect the 12 pin cap on the Class 2 cable to the 12 pin plug connected to the vehic le (the connector that was removed from the back of the radio).
ABTI-GM1 5 8) Connect the white 8-pin plug on the IHF-1000 cable to the power cable, and connect the other end of the power cable to the ABTI-GM1 module. 9) Install the IHF-1000 keypad on the dashboard of the vehicle, and route the wire to the IHF- 1000 harness.
6 ABTI-GM1 9 ) Plug the ISO side of the ISO to 8 way harness into the mating Parrot connectors. 10 ) T ake the Mute wire of the Parrot kit and plug it into the “Mute 1” wire in the Parrot ISO harness. 11 ) Finish installing the rest of the P arrot handsfree kit and reinstall the OEM radio.
