21 Getting Started Switching On Press and Hold the Power ON/OFF key for 2 seconds to Power ON the phone. When the phone is switched on, it tries to register with the network. After successful registration, the name of the service provider is displayed.
22 Getting Started Basic Settings Security Settings T o prevent unauthorised use of your phone, you can set a PIN code. The PIN is operator dependent. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Security settings > PIN protection > On . Enter the PIN. Select OK .

31 Calls Calls This section provides information on managing calls. Dial a Number 1. Use the numeric keys to enter the number and press . 2. Alternatively you can enter the desired phone number and select Option > Call . Dial an International Number Press and hold the numeric key 0 till the + symbol is displayed.
32 Calls Call Timers • T o view the total time spent on the last call, select Menu > Calls > Call history > Call timers > Last call . • T o view the total time spent on outgoing calls, select Menu > Calls > Call history > Call timers > Dialled calls .
33 Calls Call Forward Option Function All voice calls Forwar d all incoming calls to a pre-designated number . If unreachable Forward calls when you have switched off your phone or you are out of network coverage area. If no answer Forward calls when you do not answer incoming calls.
34 Calls 1. Select Menu > Calls > Call settings > Fixed Dial > Mode > On . Enter the PIN2 to activate xed number dialing. 2. Select Fixed Dial List to add a new number and to view the numbers present in the list. For your PIN2, please contact your service provider .
35 Settings Settings Phone Settings This section provides information on the various settings for the phone. T o access, select Menu > Settings > Phone settings. Time and Date Y ou can set and display the date and time on the phone. Y ou can also select the display format.

Y ou can select your network, specify the network account, indicate whether GPRS is requir ed at all times, and so on.

Y ou can send a text message to other people via SMS service. MMS allows you to send messages by including multimedia content such as pictures, audio les, video les, and so on.

Y ou can also download more Java applications via W AP , Bluetooth, SD Card or Java Application Manager . 62 WAP Browser WAP Browser This mobile phone has an internal WAP browser that allows you to browse contents of various W AP websites on the Internet. This facility is made available only if you subscribe to a data service from your network operator for Internet access.
