Safety instructions 2 1. Safet y and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLI ANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.
Safety instructions 3 OBSOLETE APPLIANCES MUST BE RENDERED UNUSABLE. CUT OFF THE MAINS POWER CORD AFTER UNPLUGGI NG IT FROM THE WALL OUTLET, AND MAKE SAFE ANY COMPONENTS WHICH MIGHT BE DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN (LOCKS, DOORS, ETC.
Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MA Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER RESIDUES WHICH MAY BE PRESENT INSIDE THE DISHES OR DISHWASHER AT THE END OF THE WASHING PROGRAM AND BEFORE THE DRYING CYCLE.
Installation instructions 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up a gainst walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water supply with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied w ith the dishwasher. Take care to screw the hose firmly into place with your h ands and then complete b y tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers .
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Upper panel All the dishwasher controls are gr ou ped on the upper panel. Switch-on, programming, switch-off etc. procedur es are onl y possible when the door is open. 1 ON/OFF BUTTON Pressing this button energises the appl iance.
User instructions 10 8 “3/1” OPTION BUTTON Press this button to activate the option for use of 3/1 produ cts. 9 “3/1” OPTION LIGHT Illuminates to indicate that the function is activated. 10 HALF LOAD BUTTON Press this button to activate the half load w ash option.

User instructions 13 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a washing program make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly loaded. • The spray arms are able to rotate freel y and without obstruction.
User instructions 14 SELECTING HALF LOA D WASH (available in all programs except the soak p rogram) This function is ideal for smal l loads and saves water and electri city.
User instructions 15 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currentl y sele cted program, open the door and hol d down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displ ayed on the window).
User instructions 16 If the door has to be opened while washing is in progress, the progr am will be interrupted. The relativ e light will keep flashing and a bee per will signal that the cycle has not been completed. You must wait about 1 minute before closing the door to rest art the program.
User instructions 17 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and detergent.
User instructions 18 • Do not use table salt as it contains insol uble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egener ating salt container before starting the washing program .

User instructions 20 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 21 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 22 • "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rinse aid, check whether your dis hwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then ref er to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 23 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small objec ts in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 24 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 12 place-settings , including serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 25 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arrang ed in an orderly manner inside the basket, with the handles pointin g downwards. Take care during loadi ng to avoid injury from the knife blades. T he basket is suitable for all types of cutlery, except those l ong enough to interfere w ith the upper s pray arm.
User instructions 26 The top basket is fitted (o n the left) with two plastic racks w hich can be raised to make room for tall glasses, such as stem glasses. On the right there are t wo cutlery racks designed to take knives and teaspoons; when not in use, they can be left vertical, a ttached to the basket.
User instructions 27 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET Version A : the upp er basket can be adjuste d in two positions , according to the user’s needs and according to the h eight of the dishes in the lower basket.
User instructions 28 Version C: the top basket can be set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides. To raise the basket lift it, pulling on the fr ont edge (1) , to the first or second catch depending on the height required.
User instructions 29 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pole disconnection dev ice. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 30 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to p eriodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlock.
User instructions 31 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside the w ater pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water s upply tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power c ord back into the socket.
User instructions 32 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special contai ner; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has no t lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).

T roubleshooting The dishwasher is capable of signall ing a number of faults through the simultaneous illumination of several i ndicator lights, with the following meanings: FAULT DESCRIPT ION E1 Acquastop failure The anti-flooding system has been activated (for the relevant models only).
