AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product The default administrator user name root is permanent and cannot be deleted. If the password for root is lost, the product must be reset to the factory default settings. See Reset to Factory Default Settings on page 55 .

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams The AMC Control P anel can be used to congure various video settings. Please see the AXIS Media Control User’s Manual for more information. The AMC Control P anel is automatically installed on rst use, after which it can be congured.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams Note • <ip>= IP addess • The Axis product supports QuickTime 6.5.1 and later . • QuickTime may add latency to the video stream. • It may be possible to use other players to view the H.264 stream using the paths above, although Axis does not guarantee this.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Video size optimizes bandwidth and storage usage, but may give poor image quality . T o prevent increased bandwidth and storage usage, the maximum frame size should be set to an optimal value.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Video Max gain - Measured in decibels (dB), gain describes the amount of amplication applied to a signal, in this case the visual information in the image. A high level of amplication may provide a better image in very low light situations.

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan T ilt Zoom) Gatekeeper The Active Gatekeeper monitors an area such as an entrance gate. When motion is detected in the monitored area, the Gatekeeper will, depending on conguration, steer the camera to a selected preset position or start autotracking from a selected preset position.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan T ilt Zoom) To remove an area, click the name of the area and click Remove . T o enable or disable an area, click the name of the area and click Enable/Disable . Max Limits The pan and tilt limits restrict the area where autotracking is allowed.

When Enable E-ip is selected, as it tilts down and continues to pan backwards, the Axis product will automatically correct the view and ip it 180 degrees.

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors Detectors Shock Detection Enable Shock Detection from the Detectors menu. Shock detection is used, for example, to generate an alarm if the product is hit by an object. Use the Shock sensitivity slider to adjust the sensitivity level at which the product should send an alarm upon being hit.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - Live Stream Accessed – Trigger the rule when any stream is accessed and during edge storage playback. This can for example be used to send notications. - Motion Detection – Trigger the rule when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera Events • PTZ Control - Autotracking – Start autotracking. See Autotracking on page 28 . - Preset P osition – Go to a preset position. - Guard T our – Start a guard tour . See Guard Tour on page 29 . • Record Video – Record video to a selected storage.

AXIS Q6044-C PTZ Dome Network Camera System Options Use manually selected NAT router - Select this option to manually select a NAT router and enter the IP address for the router in the eld. If no router is specied, the product automatically searches for NAT routers on your network.
