USER MANUAL AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera.
About this Document This manual is intended for administrators and users of the AXIS P3364–LV Fixed Dome Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.4 and later. It includes instructions for using and managing the product on your network. Previous experience of networking will be of use when using this product.
Photobiological Safety This product fullls the requirements for photobiological safety according to IEC/EN 62471 (risk group 1). Battery The Axis product uses a 3.0 V BR/CR2032 lithium battery as the power supply for its internal real-time clock (RTC).

AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Accessing the Product Accessing the Product To install the Axis product, refer to the Installation Guide supplied with the product.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Accessing the Product Access from the Internet Once connected, the Axis product is accessible on your local network (LAN). To access the product from the Internet you must congure your network router to allow incoming data trafc to the product.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Accessing the Product 4. Click OK . The password has now been congured. Set Power Line Frequency Power line frequency is set the rst time the Axis product is accessed and can only be changed from Plain Cong (see page 51 ) or by resetting the product to factory default.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Accessing the Product Click the Active/Inactive buttons to manually activate and inactive the product’s output port. For information about how to enable and congure output buttons, see page 28 . The Manual Trigger button is used to trigger an action rule from the Live View page.

AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Media Streams Media Streams The Axis product provides several audio and video stream formats. Your requirements and the properties of your network will determine the type you use. The Live View page in the product provides access to H.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Media Streams The AMC Control Panel can be used to congure various video and audio settings. Please see the AXIS Media Control User’s Manual for more information. The AMC Control Panel is automatically installed on rst use, after which it can be congured.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Media Streams Note • <ip>= IP addess • The Axis product supports QuickTime 6.5.1 and later. • QuickTime adds latency to the video stream. • It may be possible to use other players to view the H.264 stream using the paths above, although Axis does not guarantee this.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Setting Up the Product Setting Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio Video and Audio The video and audio settings can be used to optimize video and audio quality. You can congure the following: • Video stream settings. See page 18 . • Stream proles. See page 19 .
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio • Resolution . Select the default resolution. • Compression . The compression level affects the image quality, bandwidth and le size of saved images; the lower the compression, the higher the image quality with higher bandwidth requirements and larger le sizes.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio • When setting up continuous recording. See Continuous Recording, on page 41 . • In the Live View page – select the stream prole from the Stream prole drop-down list. For quick setup, use one of the predened stream proles.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio Exposure zones - This settings determines which part of the image is used to calculate the exposure. For most situations, the Auto setting can be used. For particular requirement, select a predened area.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio The Day/Night shift level bar helps determine when the camera will shift from day mode to night mode. Normally, the camera automatically changes mode from day to night when very dark (level 100 in the slider).
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio 1. Go to Video & Audio > Video Stream and select the Image tab. 2. To include an overlay image, select Include overlay image at the coordinates . The overlay image must rst be uploaded to the Axis product, see Overlay Image .

AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio Audio Input An external microphone or a line source can be connected to the Audio-in connector. Congure the audio input settings under Video & Audio > Audio Settings . Note The internal microphone is used by default; the external microphone is used when connected.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Video and Audio To add, download, modify or remove audio clips, go to Video & Audio > Audio Clips . For more information see the online help . To congure the Axis product to play audio clips when an event occurs, an action rule must be set up.

AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Live View Cong - Pulse activates the output for a dened period of time. The pulse time can be set from 1/100 second to 60 seconds.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) The PTZ menu is available if digital PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) is enabled in the selected view area.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) 1. Go to PTZ > Guard Tour and click Add . 2. Enter a descriptive name. 3. Specify the pause length between runs. 4. Select an available preset position and click Apply . 5. Specify the View Time in seconds or minutes.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Detectors Detectors Camera Tampering Camera Tampering can generate an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned, or when the lens is covered, sprayed or severely defocused. To send an alarm, for example an email, an action rule must be set up.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Detectors Note • Using the motion detection feature may decrease the product’s overall performance. • The position of the Motion Detection Window is relative to the orientation of the Camera. Changing the orientation of the camera will also change the position of the Motion Detection Window.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Detectors Medium level (50%) A large difference in luminance is required to trigger motion detection. Low level (0%) Even very small objects trigger motion detection. An object that appears in the window triggers motion detection only for a very short time before it is considered as non-moving.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Applications Applications Third party applications can be uploaded to and installed on the Axis product. Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Applications If the Axis product is reset to factory default, installed applications and their settings are removed. For information about factory default, see Reset to Factory Default Settings .
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Events Events The Axis product can be congured to perform actions when different events occur, for example, start a recording when motion is detected. The set of conditions that denes how and when the action is triggered is called an Action Rule .
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Events - Recurrence – Trigger the rule periodically. See Recurrences, on page 39 . This can for example be used to upload an image every 5 minutes. - Use Schedule – Trigger the rule according to the selected schedule.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Events The recording Duration of some actions can be set to include time immediately before and after the event. Select Pre-trigger time and/or Post-trigger time and enter the number of seconds.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Events To set up a recurrence: 1. Go to Events > Recurrences and click Add . 2. Enter a descriptive name and recurrence pattern.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Recordings Recordings The Axis product can be congured to record video continuously or according to an action rule: • To start a continuous recording, see page 41 . • To set up action rules, see page 38 . • To access recordings, see Recording List, on page 41 .
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be congured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by giving them user names and passwords.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options 2. Select an HTTPS certicate from the list of installed certicates. 3. Optionally, click Ciphers and select the encryption algorithms to use for SSL. 4. Set the HTTPS Connection Policy for the different user groups.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options • Synchronize with computer time – Sets date and time according to the computer’s clock. With this option, date and time are set once and will not be updated automatically. • Synchronize with NTP Server – Obtains date and time from an NTP server.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options The AVHS settings are congured under System Options > Network > TCP IP > Basic . The possibility to connect to an AVHS service is enabled by default.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options Link-Local IPv4 Address Link-Local Address is enabled by default and assigns the Axis product an additional IP address which can be used to access the product from other hosts on the same segment on the local network.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options Note This FTP server has nothing to do with the product’s ability to transfer images via FTP to other locations and servers. RTSP The RTSP server running in the Axis product allows a connecting client to start an H.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options The following traps are available: • Cold start • Warm start • Link up • Authentication failed SNMP v3 provides encryption and secure passwords. To use traps with SNMP v3, an SNMP v3 management application is required.

Note During formatting any previous data stored on the disk will be lost. Mounting is done automatically when the card is inserted or when the product is started.

AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options Logs & Reports The System Options > Support > Logs & Reports page generates logs and reports useful for system analysis and troubleshooting. If contacting Axis Support, please provide a valid Server Report with your query.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera System Options Reset to Factory Default Settings Important Reset to factory default should be used with caution. A reset to factory default will reset all settings, including the IP address, to the factory default values.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Checking the Firmware Firmware is software that determines the functionality of network devices. One of your rst actions when troubleshooting a problem should be to check the current rmware version.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Troubleshooting Emergency Recovery Procedure If power or network connection is lost during the upgrade, the process fails and the product becomes unresponsive. Flashing red Status indicator indicates a failed upgrade. To recover the product, follow the steps below.
AXIS P3364–LV Network Camera Troubleshooting The IP address has been changed by DHCP IP addresses obtained from a DHCP server are dynamic and may change. If the IP address has been changed, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Camera Management to locate the product on the network.
