Introduction Thank you for choosing Siemens TPS3 Surge Prot ective Device (SPD). This is a high quality , high energy surge suppr essor designed t o pro tect sensitive equipment from damaging transient overvoltages. Proper inst allation is important to maximize performance.
St orage The unit should be st ored in a clean, dr y en vironment. St orage temperatur e is -55 o C (-67 o F) t o +85 o C (+185 o F). Av oid exposing the unit to areas of high condensation. All of the packaging materials should be left intact until the unit is ready f or installation.

NO TE: TPS3 05 unit may be replaced only if supplied with an internal disonnect. Lock off all power supplying this equipment bef ore w orking on it. Open unit door and turn the internal disconnect t o the off position. Remove t he neutral lug wire from the disconnect switc h.
