1 Look for the plastic car d that is in your Orange box. If you cannot find it, the SIM Card may have already been inserted into your phone. If it is not in your phone or your box, please ask your company’ s Orange account holder for a SIM Card. 2 Remove the SIM Card from its plastic surround by car efully pushing it out.

2.2 listen to calls at the right volume When you are on a call press to increase the earpiece volume or to decrease the volume. silence your ring tone Press and hold at the main display to set your phone to silent mode. Repeat to deactivate silent mode.

6.1 6 - Orange M ulti Media services Orange WA P services brings you information on the move WA P (W ireless Application Protocol) is ideal for finding up to the minute information such as train times and share prices. Yo u can check the news and weather or simply re lax and play games.
setting your connectio n Yo ur phone is able to access Orange WA P services via CSD and GPRS connections. Orange is the standard Circuit Switched Data (CSD) connection, whereby you pay for the amount of time that you are connected.

To install your C55 as a modem: 1 Download the GPRS modem assistant software from www .my-siemens.com . 2 Connect your C55 to your laptop via a data cable. 3 Select the modem software, and then select data cable as your method of connection. 4 Select an automatic or manual connection, and then install the modem assistant software.

8.1 control your phone using voice commands Yo u can set up to 20 voice commands which will allow you to control your phone functions simply by saying a name. To save a voice command : 1 Press Menu and scroll to Organiser . Press Select. 2 Scroll to Vo ice command and press Select.

■ Other calls Sets the ring tone for all calls that you re ceive. ■ Alarms Changes the sound of your alarms. ■ Messages Sets the sound your phone makes when you re ceive an Answer Phone or text message. ■ Cell broadcast This feature is not available.

Press Off to stop your alarm when it sounds. Alter natively , press Pause to turn the alarm tone off for five minutes . Note : If you miss an alarm because you are on a call when it sounds, it will be saved in the Missed alarms menu. Yo u can re mind yourself of your meetings by saving them as Appointments.
If you re member something important or have an idea whilst you are on the move, you can save up to 10 notes in your phone for you to use at a more convenient time. To save a note : 1 Press Menu and scroll to Organiser . Press Select. 2 Scroll to Notes and press Select.

5 Set up any diverts on your Orange phone before you leave the UK as you will not be able to do it when you are abroad. Refer to chapter 4 for more information on call diverts. 6 Make sure you pack your charger and a three-pin adaptor so you can charge your phone whilst abroad.

13 - re ference 13.1 safety 1n etwork services The mobile phone described in this guide is approved for use on the Orange network. A number of features included in this guide are called Network Services. These are special services that you can arrange through Orange.
13.2 Never place the phone on the passenger seat or where it can break loose in a collision or sudden stop. Remember :A lways give your full attention to driving.
13.3 6e mergency calls If your phone offers the features listed below, and if you have re stricted or barred outgoing calls from your phone, calls to emergency numbers (999 or 112 in the UK) may still be possible.
13.4 Please check with our Partner Network abroad for the emergency number that is used in that location. Yo ur Orange phone, like any mobile phone, operates using radio signals, mobile and fixed line networks which cannot always guarantee connection in all conditions.

13.10 data protection We will use the personal information you supply us to help manage your Orange account efficiently , for example, to assist in handling queries, sending bills (excluding pay as you go) or to send you information on products and services which may be of particular interest to you.
allowing access to your Orange account It can sometimes be useful for someone else to have access to your account, for example if you have more than one Orange phone in your name. As an account holder you can choose to allow information only access and access which will allow changes to be made.
2 Insurance terms 2.1 Orange Personal Communications Services Limited (Orange) is monitored by HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited which is a member of the General Insurance Standards Council.
3.2 Yo ur claim must be re ported to Orange as soon as possible but in any event not more than 24 hours after you discover the loss, theft or damage. In re spect of claims arising outside the United Kingdom please re fer to Clause 6.14. To m ake a claim you must provide the following: 3.
climatic conditions or other gradually operating cause; 4.1.2 confiscation or detention; 4.1.3 impr oper maintenance, re pair or modification; 4.1.4 defective materials or workmanship covered by the manufacturer’ s warranty; 4.1.5 br eakdown of or interruption to the network service; 4.
4.2.3 the phone is not re gistered and connected to the Orange network in your name; 4.2.4 at the time of loss, theft or damage the phone was not being used or in the possession of you or an authorised user . 5P re mium Payment Insurance cover will cease if any premium is not paid on the due date.

7.1.1 it has been used in accordance with the operating instructions; 7.1.2 any re pairs which may have been, or are to be undertaken have been arranged by Orange; 7.1.3 you have complied with the foregoing terms and conditions; 7.1.4 the Orange phone is re gistered and connected to the Orange Network; 7.

13.23 13 - re ference pay monthly terms and conditions 1d efinitions The following words and expressions shall have the following meanings: Accessories products approved by Orange which you use in conjunction with your phone. They include (without limitation) batteries, chargers, car kits, headsets and carry cases.
13.24 Minimum Te rm the period of 12 months commencing on the date of Registration. Monthly Billing Date the day in each month on which your billing statement will be issued after you have been connected. Network the public telecommunications system by which Orange makes Services available in the United Kingdom.
13 - re ference Suspension the temporary disconnection of Services. Suspend has a corresponding meaning. User you, or another person named by you, who is authorised to incur Charges to your Account. 2y our Contract and the Minimum Te rm your Contract runs for at least 12 months 2.
