8/16/2005 9 Getting to Know Your Shoprider Jiffy Powerchair The Joystick Controller (VSI 50) 1. On-Off Button : This button turns the joystick controller (hereinafter refe rred to as VSI) on and off. Do not use th is button to stop the folding power chair, ex cept in an emergency.

The locking method is achieved through a sequence of key presses and joysti ck movements, as detailed below. 8/16/2005 11 Drive/Freewheel Mechanism The drive/freewheel levers are found toward the front of the Powerchair, one on each side, loca ted at the end of each motor. These levers will allow you to disengage the drive mechanism and push the Powerchair while in freewheel mode.
