R-210A 4 OPERA TION SEQUENCE 7-1. When the oven door is opened during or after the cycle of a cooking program, the 1st latch switch and 2nd latch switch must open their (COM-NO) contacts first. After that the contacts (COM-NC) of the monitor switch can be closed.
R-210A 5 FUNCTION OF IMPORT ANT COMPONENTS DOOR OPEN MECHANISM The door can be opened by pushing the open button on the control panel. When the open button is pushed, the switch lever on the latch hook is moved upward, operating the latch head. The latch head is moved upward, and released from the latch hook.
R-210A 6 Note: The ON/OFF time ratio does not exactly corre- spond to the percentage of microwave power, because approx. 2 seconds are needed for heat- ing up the magnetron filament. SER VICING WARNING TO SERVICE PERSONNEL Microwave ovens contain circuitry capable of producing very high voltage and current.

R-210A 8 CARRY OUT 3D CHECKS. Isolate the magnetron from the high voltage circuit by removing all leads connected to the filament terminal. To test for an open circuit filament use an ohmmeter to make a continuity test between the magnetron filament terminals, the meter should show a reading of less than 1 ohm.

R-210A 11 TEST PROCEDURES PROCEDURE LETTER COMPONENT TEST CARRY OUT 3D CHECKS. If the fuse 13A is blown when the door is opened, check the 1st latch switch, 2nd latch switch, monitor switch and monitor resistor. E SWITCH TEST Isolate the switch to be tested and using an ohmmeter check between the terminals as described in the following table.
R-210A 12 TEST PROCEDURES PROCEDURE LETTER COMPONENT TEST If the fuse 13A is blown by incorrect door switching replace the defective switch(es) and the fuse 13A. If the fuse 13A is blown, there is a shorts or grounds in electrical parts or wire harness.
R-210A 13 COMPONENT REPLA CEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE WARNING: Avoid possible exposure to microwave energy. Please follow the instructions below before operating the oven. 1. Disconnect oven from power supply. 2. Make sure that a definite” click” can be heard when the microwave oven door is unlatched.
R-210A 14 HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENTS REMOVAL (HIGH VOLTAGE CAPACITOR, HIGH VOLTAGE RECTIFIER ASSEMBLY AND H.V. FUSE) To remove the components, proceed as follows. 1. CARRY OUT 3D CHECKS. 2. Disconnect the H.V. fuse from the power transformer. 3. Disconnect the H.
R-210A 15 POWER SUPPLY CORD REPLACEMENT Removal 1. CARRY OUT 3D CHECKS. 2. Disconnect the wire leads from the power supply cord. 3. Remove the one (1) screw holding the power supply cord to the oven cavity back plate. 4. Remove the power supply cord from the oven cavity back plate.
R-210A 16 CAUTION: • Do not re-use the removed fan blade be- cause the hole (for shaft) may be lager than normal. 9. Remove the two (2) screws holding the fan motor to the fan duct. 10. Now, the fan motor is free. INSTALLATION 1. Install the fan motor to the fan duct with the two (2) screws.
R-210A 17 flange of the oven front face. 2. With the door closed, adjust latch hook by moving it back and forth and up and down. In and out play of the door allowed by the upper and lower position of the latch hook should be less than 0.
R-210A 18 ture, light or sensing of gentle warm air movement around oven door is not abnormal and do not of themselves indicate a leakage of microwave en- ergy from oven cavity. UPPER OVEN HINGE PIN DOOR PANEL CHOKE COVER PIN LOWER OVEN HINGE Figure C-8.
R-210A 19 MICR O W A VE MEASUREMENT After adjustment of door latch switches, monitor switch and door are completed individually or collectively, the following leakage test must be performed with a survey instrument and it must be confirmed that the result meets the requirements of the performance standard for micro- wave oven.
