AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 2 2. Circuit De scription A. Outline This circuit controls paper feed, transport, reverse, and delivery. This circuit c onsists of the following div isions: managing signals f rom the sensors, the swit ches, and the main unit; driving the motors, the solenoid, and the clut ch; the CPU and as sociated circuits.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 3 C. Circuit Detail (1) Communication Circuit <1> TxD signal <2> RxD signal This circuit com municates with the main unit and the finisher. TxD0 and TxD1 are data signals transmitted from the main unit and the finisher to the inserter.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 4 <2> Paper Exi t Sensor (HI_SEN) HI_SEN use s the photointerrupter integrated with an LED and a pho- totra nsi stor. The sensor detects a sheet with the lev er actuator interrupting the light path of the photointerrupter.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 5 <9> P ape r Widt h De tectio n Pot entiom eter (T_V R) T_VR is a potentiometer. The paper width is detected using the output voltage, which may vary depending on the potentiometer's knob position. The signal is transmitted to the CPU (IC6-Pin112) through the noise fil- ters (R48,C12).
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 6 (3) Motor Drive Circuits <1> Paper Feed M otor Drive Circuit (K_MOT ) This circuit rotates/sto ps K_MOT and controls its rotational direction and the motor current. The c ircuit consists of the CPU (IC6), the D/A converter (IC13), the const ant-current chopper driver IC (IC9), and other elements.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 7 (4) Flapper Sol enoid and R egistrati on Clutch Dr ive Circ uit (F_SOL a nd R_CL) This circuit controls the flapper solenoid operat ion and the registration clutch engagement. When the signal F_SOL is "H", Q2 turns on to activate the solenoid.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 8 (7) Inrush Current Limiting Circuit This circuit limits an inru sh current flowing into the regeneration capac- itor included in the mot or drive system to a certain value or less. T he circuit consists of the PTC thermist or (PTH2) that limits a current and the FET (Q 11) that allows a steady current flowing.
AR-C F2 ELEC TRICA L SECT ION 9 - 9 (9) Operator Pa nel Circuit This is the circuit of the operator panel board. The operator panel drive board turns each of the LED1-6 on or off, and detects weather each of the PSW1-3 is on or off.
