The ScyT ek Precision 5500 Series is a Combination Vehicle Security and Remote Starting System that will have f eatures and functions that will be described in the following sections with an ASTERICK * The Precision 2200 Series is a Remote Start System only .
Standard Remote Transmitter Description The Precision 5500, 2200 Series is supplied with one 5-button R emote T ransmitter that is used to control the system’ s operations. Note : Using the optional PC or P ocket PC interface with the network softw are, it is possible to reconfigure the functionality of the tr ansmitter buttons.
Adding/Replacing Standard Remote Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen tr ansmitters or to add additional transmit ters into the system, have all desired transmit ters ready and follow the steps below . Note : Up to 4 one-wa y transmitters can be progr ammed to operate the system.
2-way LCD Remote Transmitter Description The Precision 5500 and 2200 are supplied with a 2-wa y LCD remote transmitter , offering increased r ange and confirmation of any activ ated features. Page 1 Button 1 Arms* and Locks the system and when held for 5 seconds, activ ates the system’ s Panic f eature.
3. Press and release Button 1 on the first tr ansmitter , then on the second transmitter . · The siren*/horn will chirp/honk once for every tr ansmitter learned. 4. T urn off the ignition k ey . 5. The siren*/horn will chirp/honk 3 times to indicate the system has exited programming mode.
T o set the daily start feature: 1. Press and hold Buttons 2 and 3 until the remote beeps four times. · The fan and clock will be shown indicating daily start mode is entered. 2. Press Button 2 until the desired hour is displayed. 3. Press Button 3 until the desired minute is displayed.
Precision - Page 7 CHP Set the siren*/horn confirmation chirps*/honks ON or OFF : 1. Press and hold Button 5 until the display shows CHP . ·The tr ansmitter will beep three times.

Precision - Page 9 Remote Arming*/Locking The system monitors 5 independent areas ( zones ) while armed: doors, hood/ trunk, shock sensor , optional sensor input, and the network port for future expansion.* T o Arm* and Lock the S ystem: 1. T urn off the ignition.
Page 10 - Precision * Tamper Alert If the system was triggered while awa y , the LED will flash to indicate which zone triggered the system after disarming and turning on the ignition.
Precision - Page 11 Panic Mode In the event of an emergency , the transmit ter’s remote P anic feature can be used to instantly trigger the alarm*/panic feature. T o activ ate the Panic Mode: 1. Press and hold Button 1 for 5 seconds. · The alarm will sound.
Page 12 - Precision T o set the Emergency Override Code: 1. T urn on ignition. 2. Within 5 seconds, press the valet switch 5 times. · The siren will provide one long chirp, indicating that y ou have entered Progr amming. 3. Press the valet switch 4 times.
Precision - Page 13 Remote Starting T o R emote Start the System: 1. Be sure the system is not in V alet Mode. 2. Press and hold Button 4 for three seconds. · The parking lights will flash 4 times and turn on. · The siren*/horn will chirp/honk 4 times.
Page 14 - Precision Automatic Start Mode Automatic Start feature has three modes that will start the vehicle every one or two hours within a 24 hour period. 1. Timer Only Mode (factory def ault) The Automatic Start feature starts the vehicle automatically ev ery one or two hours and runs for the preset Run Time.

Page 16 - Precision E x t e n d e d F e a t u r e s Ignition Door Locking F or added safety , the Ignition Door Locking f eature allows vehicles equipped with power door lock systems to automatically lock the doors when the ignition is turned on.

Page 18 -Precision Mounting the Control Unit The control unit must only be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. Do not mount the main unit in the engine compartment.
Precision - Page 19 S y s t e m W i r i n g 6-Pin Starter Harness Pin 1 RED WIRE A : Main P ower Input A (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 25 Amp supply . R emo v e the f use until the installation is complete and all wiring is check ed.
Page 20 - Precision Pin 11 VIOLET WIRE : Positive Door Input (+). Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shows +12V when the door is open. This type of door circuit is usually found on F ord vehicles. Pin 12 GREEN WIRE : Negative Door Input (-).
Precision - Page 21 2-Pin White Connector: Located on the side of the main module. · Green WIRE - P arking Brake Input (-) F or Manual T r ansmission and/or vehicles equipped with a turbo charged engine. Must be connected if using the T urbo Timer feature and/or Manual T ransmission remote start feature.
Page 22 - Precision Entering System Programming This system is compatible with both the LCD two wa y transmitter or the standard tr ansmitter , all system programming can be perf ormed using either one. T o enter S ystem Programming: 1. T urn on ignition.
Precision - Page 23 5. Ignition Door Unlocking. Selects whether or not the system automatically unlocks the doors when the ignition is turned off . The Ignition Door Locking feature may be progr ammed to unlock all doors or the driver’ s door only .

Bypasses the open zone warning chirps for vehicles equipped with a residual dome light circuit that remains on for a period of time after closing the door . 11. Aux 2 Auto Activate with Arm. When selected, the Auxiliary 2 output will activate when the system is armed.
Precision - Page 25 plugs are warm before cr anking the starter . If the glow plug wire is not connected, the built-in timer waits 15 seconds before automatically cr anking the starter . 22. Ignition 2 Relay Program. Selects one of three operating modes for the Ignition 2 rela y output: Ignition 2, Accessory 2, or Starter 2.

Precision - Page 27 15. Remote Start Program . This dual progr am branch sets the engine mode for Gas or Diesel, and learns the vehicle’ s RPM threshold. F or installation into a diesel equipped vehicle, first set the engine type to diesel before learning RPM.
