GB-3 PRECAUTIONS This unit is designed and m anufactured with the user’s safety in m ind, however any improper use or operation may result in certain dangers. It is therefore highly recommended to read this manual thoroughly and adhere to the following precautions.
GB-4 INSTALLATION Notes: - Choose a mounting location where the unit w ill not inte rfere with the driv er’s ability to drive the car. - Before completing the final installation of the unit, connect the wiring and make sure that the unit works properly.
GB-5 4. Mount t he sleeve by inse rting the sleeve into the dashboard opening and bend out the tabs located around t he sleeve with a screwdriver. Not all tabs will be a ble to make contact, so examine which ones will be most effective.

GB-11 GENERAL OPERATIONS Reset the unit W hen operati ng the unit for the first time, after replacing the car battery or changing the co nnections, you must reset the unit.
GB-12 Selecting playback mode W hen the unit is switched on, touch t he MODE button repeatedly to select one of the following mode s: T UNER, USB (with USB device inserted), SD/MMC (with SD/MMC card inserted), iPod (with iPod inserted), AUX in mode.
GB-13 In manual search m ode, if n either of the tw o button s is used within 5 seconds, the radio will go to automatic search mode automatically. The message “Auto Seek” appears on the LCD display . GB-16 Installing an iPod 1. Push down th e lever to release the iPod loader. 2. Pull out the iPod loader. 3. Pre ss the button to u nlock the iPod holder. 4. Eject the loa der completely using the tab. 5. Hold down t he iPod buttons which lock th e iPod and in sert an iPod.
GB-17 Removing an iPod Follow the previous steps from 1 to 4. 5. Pre ss the iPod connector lock buttons to release the iPod. Remove the iPod. 6. Push the loader until it stops. 7. P ress the two adjustable sides of the iPod holder on both sides until it stops.
GB-18 Displaying music information During p layback, touching th e A S/PS ּ ID3 button repeatedly to display the music information including song/artist/album name on the unit’s LCD display. Note: Some characters (such as accents) may not be displayed properly .
GB-19 SD/MMC MEMORY CARD OPERATIONS Using an SD/MMC card: Remove the f ront panel. W hen y ou insert an SD/MMC card into the memo ry ca rd slot, th e player will read the SD/MMC ca rd automatically. If you insert a USB device into the USB p ort while reading an SD/MMC card , the un it will play the USB device automatically.
GB-20 MP3/WMA FILES OPERATIONS Touch the MODE button to select the USB or SD/MMC mode if both a USB device and SD/MMC card are inserted into the unit. Playing/Pausing - During playback, touch the button to interrupt playback. Touch again to resume playbac k.
GB-21 How to select a file in MP3/WMA mode: During playback, touch the BA ND button to enter the search mode. The message “Navigate” is displayed. Rota te the VOLUME/PUSH SELECT button to search the desired folder o r sub-folder and then press it to co nfirm.
