The backu p battery will be fully charged when the battery pack is k ept in the camera continuously f or about 2 days .
English 30 SETUP About rechar ging Recharging tak es place only when the camera is turned off , or when the pow er sav e function or the sleep function has been activ ated. Recharging does not take pla ce when the camera is in the recording mode or playba ck mode.
31 English TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFF T urning on the camera 1 Open the monitor unit, and press the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. h If you pr ess the REC/PLA Y button fo r at least 1 secon d, the camera turns on in the play back mode . h If you briefly press the ON/OFF button , once, the camera wil l switch to t he power sa ve mode.
English 32 SETUP T urning on the camera when th e power sa ve (sleep) mo de is active In order to preserve battery pack po wer , the power sav e (sleep) function will automatica lly turn off the camera after about 1 minute of no use during shooting, or about 5 min utes of no use during playbac k (factory-preset setting).

English 34 SETUP D A TE AND TIME SETTING The camera will record the date and time an image or audio recording is taken so that yo u can displa y them during pla yback. Ther efore , before capturing images, mak e sure the correct date and time are set.
