2-6 Installation and Connection 2-6 Lamp Replacement Cautions on Lamp Replacement • The projector lamp is an expendable item. For best operating performance, replace the lamp according to the usage time. You can view the lamp usage time in the Informatio n Display (INFO button).

2-10 Installation and Connection 2-10 Connecting with a PC and Setting up the PC 2-10-1. Setting up the PC Environment Check the following items before connecting your PC to your projector. 1. Click the right mouse button on the Windows desktop , and then click [Properties].

Shut down the PC and connect it to the projector. The setup process might vary depending on your type of computer or version of Windows.

Connecting to a Dy namic IP (DHCP) Network You can atta ch the projector to your network through a modem th at uses DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

POWER ( ) Button Use this button to turn the projector on and off. QUICK Button Use to quickly return to the last menu used.
3-3 Using • Make sure to place your remote control on a table or desk. - If you step on the remote control, you may fall and hurt yourself or damage the remote. • You can use the remote control up to a distance of about 32.8 feet (10 m) from the product.

3-4 Using Clearing Indicator Problems This Projector uses a cooling fan system to keep the unit from over heating. Operat ion of the cooling fa n may produce noise, This does not affect product performance and is part of normal operation. 3-5 Using MENU DESCRIPTION Mode Select a screen mode to match the environment, the kind of images you are projecting, or select a customized mode you have creat ed based on your requirements. <Mode> • <Dynamic> : Selects the picture for incr e ased definition in a bright room.
Using 3-5 Position Using this function, you can adjust the screen posit ion if it i s not aligned. To adjust, select th e direction you want to move the screen, and then press the arrow bu tton pointing in that direction repeatedly. This function does not work in <Me dia Play> mode.
3-5 Using 3-5-3. Setup MENU DESCRIPTION Install To tailor the picture to the insta llation location, (for example, behind a se mi-transparent screen, hang - ing from the ceiling), you can invert the projected images vertically / horizontally.
Using 3-5 Video Type If the screen quality is abnormal as a result of the projector not identifying the input signal type auto- matically in <PC> or <HDMI> mode, Video Type lets you manually set the input signal. This function does not work in <Me dia Play> mode.
3-5 Using 3-5-4. Option Network By connecting a LAN cab le between th e PC a nd projecto r, you can use the following supplementary functions on your PC.

3-6 Using 3-6 Network Management 3-6-1. Management using the Web Browser The Web Browser let s you monitor and control one projecto r from a PC without installin g any software. Before you can use the W eb Browser , you must connect your pro jector to your local area network.
Using 3-6 3-6-2. Projector Manage ment using PC Software You can mo nitor and control mo re than one projector u sing Samsung Projector Manage r. When installing or using Samsung Projector Manage r in PC, you must log in as Administrator. If you log in using your personal login, that login must have full administrator privileg es.
3-6 Using <Projector List>, and then select <Add Projector>. • Specify the <Projector Name >, <IP Address> and <Group Name> to regi ster, and then press <ADD>. Any group whose name is not specified will automatically be named <Default Group>.
Using 3-6 • Projector Management • You can chec k a projector's lamp condition, temperatu re, operation, errors , etc in real time. : You can view a projector's Name, IP Address, Grou p, Power On/Off status, LAMP lifespan, operation errors (represented by icons), etc.
3-6 Using Temperature Level Status Icon s • Managing the Projectors : Using the icons in the <Projector List> (only applicab le to 'V'-marke d projectors in the monitoring window) (Refresh): Updates the status of the projector. (Power On): Tu rns on the power of the pr ojector.
Using 3-6 (Switch Source): Selects a source from HDMI, S-VIDEO, AV, PC, MP. (Blank Off/Blank On): Turns the screen of the projector on or off. (Mute Off/Mute On): Mutes the sound of a projector on/ off. (Adjust Aspect Ratio): Adjusts the aspect ratio of the projector to either 16:9 or Normal .
