Connectin g a Client Monito r Host PC Hub LAN Cable Monito r Connect the powe r cord to the power termina l at the back o f the monitor. Connect t he mouse and the keyboard t o the USB por ts. Connect the L AN port on the back of the monitor and the hub.
Setu p Client Monito r The Thin Cli ent Setup Wi zard is execu ted when a thin client is installed for th e first time, data a re not backed up after update, o r the Reset the term inal to factory def ault settings check bo x is checked on Control Panel -> Sy stem.
Configure t he resolution , the color sett ings, and the scre ensaver. Then cli ck Next . Select the shell interfac e to use with the t erminal. Click Next to pr oceed to the next step .
In the next wi ndow, set the o ther termi nal proper tie s and click on Next. For more informatio n on terminal properties, re fer to Configurin g the Client Monitor Enviro nment. Connectin g to the Host PC You can add, ed it or remove conne ctions using the Terminal Conn ection Ma nager (Thin Clie nt Shell) or the icon/menus on the Desktop. However, th is function requires ad ministrato r privileges. If you logged on as a limited u ser, the menus for configuring connection s are hidden or deactivated.
Enter the na me that will be di splayed in th e list on the Term inal Connecti on Manager (or as a connection ic on on the Desk top) and click Ne xt. When you conn ect to the serve r, the server’s D esktop is displa yed on the mon itor, by default. If you want t o start an appl ication when co nnected, ent er its name and w orking directo ry.
Select comp ression, enc ryption, an d sound option s for ICA connect ion. Enter the inform ation required to p a ss firewalls or security policies. Microsoft Remote De sktop Clinet Enter a nam e for the connec tion and h ost PC’s name .
