14 Cable TV connections For basic C able TV service not requiring a Converter/ Descrambler bo x, connect the 75 ohm Coaxial Cable directly to the Antenna Jack on the back of the TV .
15 Starting setup The Starting Setup menu appears the first time you turn on the TV , and assists you to select the menu language, specify the Air/Cable setting, and program y our channels automatically .
16 CABLE CHAR T The chart below is typical of many cable s ystem channel allocations. NO TE: It may tak e a fe w seconds for a digital channel picture to appear on screen after being selected. Automatic search 1 Press SETUP/TV MENU in the TV mode. The TV menu screen will appear .

18 MUTE Press MUTE to switch off the sound. The TV’s sound will be silenced and “Mute” will appear on the screen. The sound can be switched back on b y pressing this button again or the V OL + or – . SLEEP T o set the TV to turn off after a preset amount of time , press SLEEP on the remote control.
19 T o register a passwor d 1 Press SETUP/TV MENU in the TV mode. The TV menu screen will appear . 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to select “Lock”, then press ▶ or ENTER . 3 Select and enter your pass word (4 digits) using Number buttons (0-9) , then press ENTER .

25 Selecting the HDMI audio input source When you use PC/HDMI A UDIO IN jack with HDMI or D VI device, y ou must select HDMI audio input source from “HDMI” or “D VI”. 1 Press SETUP/TV MENU in the TV mode. The TV menu screen will appear . 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to select “ Audio”, then press ▶ or ENTER .
26 Resetting y our settings The Reset function returns y our settings to the factory settings. 1 Press SETUP/TV MENU in the TV mode. The TV menu screen will appear . 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to select “Setup” , then press ▶ or ENTER . 3 Press ▲ or ▼ to select “Reset”.
