18 www.pridemobility.com Jazzy Select 14 Series III. YOUR POWER CHAIR Electrical Components The electrical components are located on or inside the power base. The controller connector and circuit breaker are located on the electronics tray. The power module is located inside the power base.

22 www.pridemobility.com Jazzy Select 14 Series COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS After becoming familiar with your power chair’s operation, you may find th e need to make some adjustments to increase your comfort, such as seat hei ght and angle, armrest angl e, foot platform height and angle, and controller position.

Changing the anti-tip wheel hei ght affects handling under deceleration! WARNING! The higher you raise the anti-ti p w heels, the more tendency your power chair has to tilt forward when coming to a stop.
Jazzy Select 14 Series www.pridemobility.com 27 BATTERIES AND CHARGING The Jazzy Select 14 Series uses two long-lasting, 12-volt, deep-cycle batter ies. These batteries are sealed and maintenance free. Since they are sealed, there is no need to check the electrolyte (fluid) leve l.
28 www.pridemobility.com Jazzy Select 14 Series VI. BATTERIES AND CHARGING Battery Break-in To break in new batteries for maximum efficiency: 1. Fully recharge any new batt ery prior to its initial use. This brings the battery up to about 90% of its peak performance level.

Like any motorize d vehicle, it requires routine maintenance checks. You can perform some of these checks, but others require assistance from your authorized Pride Provider.

The body shroud has been sprayed with a clear sealant coating. You can apply a light coat of car wax to help it retain its high-gloss appearance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE Yearly Checks Take your power chair to your authorized Pride Provider for yearly maintenance, es pecially if you use your power chair on a regular basis. This helps ensure that your pow er chair is functi oning properly and helps prevent future complications.
