Getting Star ted In this chapter y ou will learn how to prepare the Devic e to work and about its main control f eatures. PR O TECTIVE C O VER USA GE T o open the protectiv e co ver , hold the De vice with both hands and slightly push the projections on the top and bottom edges o f the co ver .
Getting Started 1 4 T o take off the prot ectiv e co ver , slightly push on one of the projections. CHAR GING BA TTER Y T o ext end battery lifetime, it’ s rec ommended to charge the Device for the rst time from 8 to 12 hours in the off state.

Main Menu In this chapter y ou will learn about main interface elements and their functionality . Enter the feed address using the on-screen ke yboard. T o delete the fe ed, select it, open the cont e xt menu (by continuous OK button press) and select Delete command.

R eading Books In this chapter y ou will learn how to read e-books and congure reader software for the most com - fortable reading. The Devic e suppor ts next book formats: FB2, FB2. zip, T XT , PDF, R TF, HTML, PRC, CHM, DJVU, DOC, DOC X, EPUB, T CR.
R eading Books 4 1 TURNING P AGES Use Backward/Forward or Left/Right ke ys to turn pages (while reading books in PDF or DjVU format Up/Down keys also turn pages).
R eading Books 4 2 MAKING NOTES Y ou can enter notes mode by pressing Down but - ton c ontinuously or by pressing the c orresponding menu option. On the top of the display separate area will appear . Use the buttons Up , Down to choose the place where your not e will begin and press OK t o set up the top margin of the note.
R eading Books 4 3 CHANGING FONT SIZE In text format books (eP ub, FB2 etc. , ex cluding PDF and DjV u) you can change font siz e with Up/ Down ke ys. 5 font siz e presets are available. When you will reach the largest/smallest one, text will change to the smallest/largest.

There you can rename or edit not e, expand or collapse all subse ctions branches and set up items to display in contents (under the Settings section): contents, bookmarks, and notes.

C onguration In this chapter you will learn ho w congure the interfac e and sof tware features of the De vice for the most comf ortable usage. Select Settings Main menu section to congure the Devic e. All changes will be applied after e xiting the section.

Firmware Update W ARNING ! Firmware Update is a responsible operation, during which management software o f the Devic e will be changed. Firmware U pdate 58 If default Internet c onnection is not set, the De - vice will ask to conne ct to one o f available wire - less networks. Also you can set period o f automatic updates che ck ( Settings > Maintenanc e > Update interval ). In this case, the Devic e will use Wi-Fi conne ction only .
