4 The dov etail mounting plate now connected to the Shor tT ube 80-A connects to the equatorial mount’s dov etail holder . The dov etail holder has two secur ing knobs to keep the dov etail plate securely in place. Be sure to loosen these two knobs prior to attaching the telescope.
5 Use the two alignment screws to center the object on the crosshairs of the finder scope. Then look again into the main telescope’ s ey epiece and see if it is still centered there as well. If it isn’t, repeat the entire process, making sure not to mov e the main telescope while adjusting the alignment of the finder scope.
