USING Y OUR PRINTER > 16 SETTING T OP OF FORM (TOF) The first line prints at the red line of the plastic paper shield on the printhead. Forms Tear-Off set to OFF - (default) With paper loaded and the print er ON: 1. Press PARK (6 ) to park the paper.
USING Y OUR PRINTER > 17 Forms Tear-Off set to ON With paper loaded and the printer ON and selected: 1. Press PARK (6 ) to park the paper. The SEL light goes off and the red alarm light comes on. 2. Press FF | LOAD (4) to l oad the pap er. 3. W ait briefly u ntil the p aper m oves up to th e te ar pos ition, t hen press and hold TEAR (5).

USING Y OUR PRINTER > 27 PRINTER R ESET Clearing some error con ditions requi res that you reset (reinitial ise) the prin ter. To do this: 1. Press and re lease SEL (1) to take the printer of f-line. The SEL light goes out . 2. Press and hold SHIFT (2), then pres s the RESET /CHARAC TER PITCH ke y (5 ) .
MENU MODE > 28 MENU MODE In Menu Mo de, use the fro nt panel keys to change t he defaults for the printer parameter s. The changes made in the Menu Mo de are auto matica lly saved when yo u exit th e Men u Mode and a re retain ed, even whe n the printer is turned off.

MAIN TEN ANCE > 42 MAIN T E NANCE REPLAC ING TH E RIBBON CARTRIDGE Import ant! Make s ure you have the cor rect repla cement ribb on for your print er. The wrong ribbon will not print when installe d in your printer. Look for the printer mo del number on the ribbon package.
MAIN TEN ANCE > 43 2. Swing the used ribbon cartridge up off the print head, lift it out, and discard it. 3. Unpac k the new ribbo n cartridge and install it. Important! Do not remov e the rib bon shield ( 1) from th e ribbon! 4. T urn the take-up knob (1 ) in th e directio n of the arrow to take up any rib bon s lack.
