This result s in severe damage to the IP Phone. Consult your system administrator to ensure that you plug yo ur IP Phon e int o a 10 / 100BaseT Ethernet jack.

Connecting t he components 30 Figure 6: Remove the stand cover 2. Connect the AC power adap ter (opt ional). Connect the ada pter to the AC adapter jack in the bo ttom of the ph one. Form a small be nd in the cable, and then thread the adapter cord through th e channels in the stand.
Connecting the components 31 over the CA T5e cable, the LAN must support Power over Ethernet, and an AC adapter is not requ ired. Note 2: Y ou must use CA T5e (or later) cables if you want to use gigabit Ethernet. 3. Install the han dset. Conne ct the end of the han dset cable w ith the short straight section into the handset.

To use the Redial List, pr ess the Directory key and select Redial List . For information on how to configure and use the Redial List, refer to “Using the Redial List ” o n page 139.
