Introduction The Voyager II PT IP Ca mera is a multi-fu nctional stand-alone PT Inter net Camera that can connect to Ethernet , LAN, or any broad-band ne tworks.
6 System Instructions 1. DC power cable: The DC input connector has a socket to connect the prod uct to a power source. 2. Ethernet connector: A RJ-45 connector is provided for connection to the 10Base-T Ethernet cable or 100 Base-T High Speed Ethernet cabl e.

Reset to factory settings After turning on the machine, press in this hole for 5 seconds using a sharp ob ject to reset to factory settings. 9 Hardware Installation You can install the produ ct on your desk or use th e attached tripod t o han g it from the wall or ceiling. (The product is provided wi th image flip function.
10 Camera Setting After the hardware h as been i nstalled, insert th e attached CD i n the computer and execute I P FINDER.EX following the steps be low to searc h and cha nge the IP address of the camera. 1. Start the machine. Execute the IP Finder.exe from the attached CD.
1 1 5. Confirmation When all changes have been confirmed, click Exit t o quit. Notes: 1. T he IP FINDER can onl y fi nd the IP addr esses of the ca meras that share the same h ub o n the LAN. For information ab out finding I P addresses on the Inter net, refer to the “DDNS Setting”, o r “UpnP Setting”.
12 Camera Setting from a Router You can use DHCP when you want to use the ca mera on the Intranet (LAN). However, the I P m ust be set to fixed when y ou want to u se the camera on a W AN. For this application, it is required to set up the function of the virtual s erver on the ADSL router.
13 Change the Internet Explor er Setting The product uses ActiveX Control to play im age and sound on y our PC and the ActiveX Control application software will be downloa ded to your PC when you connect it to the Internet.
14 Enter the Main Page 1. Open the IE browser and key in the IP address of the product. Key in the IP address o f the camera Camera login screen 2. Key in the default “username” and “password”.
15 Setup pro mpt screen 4. The secur it y warning screen appears. Click "Install". The ActiveX Control is named "UIC Active X Control". This software is owned by UIC and well certified. You can use it without an y doubts about its validity.

21 8. Language: selects a UI language Two languages are available: English and Chinese. 9. Camera Position: sets the position for dis play of the image Desktop: Normal image (display on the desktop; default value) Ceiling: Upside-down image Mirror: Mirror image Rotate 180: Mirrored and upside-down.
22 10. View Size: selects the size of the image Select the size of the image from 0.5 to 4 times. 11. Streaming: sets the video stream protocol (HTTP is recommended ) The product provides th ree diff erent video streaming protocols: UDP, TCP, and HTTP.

24 12. Brightness: adjusts video brightness Contrast: adjusts video contrast Press + (increase) or ﹣ (decre ase) from the setting window to adjust the brightness or contrast of the image. 13. 30 Basic Setting > Video / Image > Video Image >Video For mat You can select MPEG4 or MJPEG as the video format. It is recommended to select MPEG4 for re al-time browsing to optimize the bandwidth. MJPEG is a good choice for the b est resolution when video recording is requir ed for collection of evidence.

39 Mode: Selection of the wi reless networking mode 1. Infrastructure: Infrastructure networking mode The camera uses the wireless A ccess Poi nt ( AP) as the hub when it is in the infrastructure networking mode and connects to the network via the wireless AP.
40 Authentication Type: Network authentication type 1. Open System: No encryption. 2. Shared Key: Security of data is highly protected by encryption during transmission. Note: Re fer to the user setting instructio ns of yo ur wireless IP sha rer for more information.
41 WEP Encryption: WEP encryption fun ction When the base station (AP) to which you want to access has enabled the encr yption function, you need to acquire the following information by accessing its encr yption settings.
