3 3 Chapter 3 Featured Functions This chapter explains how t o access EDS-518A’ s various configuration, monitoring, and administration functions. The re are three ways to access these functions: R S-232 console, Telnet console, and web browser.
EDS-518A Series User’s Manual Featured Functions 3-2 Configuring Basic Settings The Basic Settings group includes the most commonly used settings required by administrators to maintain and con trol EDS-518A. System Identification The system identification items are displayed at the top of the web page, and will be included in alarm emails.
EDS-518A Series User’s Manual Featured Functions 3-3 Password EDS-518A provides two leve ls of access privileges: admin privilege gives read/write access to all EDS-518A co nfiguration param eters, and user privilege provides read access only. You will be able to view the configuration, but will not be able to make modifications.
