- 5 - DVD and Other Disc Features Some DVD-V888N features rely on DVD softwa re. Make sure that desired software features are available and enabled on the disc, follow the on-screen m enu to access these features.

- 9 - System Connections Caution: Do NOT connect the AC power cord to outlet before completing system connections. There are number of ways to connect th e DVD-V888N to the AV system, depending on the type of TV and other components in th e AV system.

First, connect the DVD-V888N to the S Video, composite video, component (Pr/Pb/Y) video, Scart, or HDM I digital input of the TV.

It requires a multi- channel A/V receiver that supports one or more of the audio form ats supported by the DVD-V888N (MPEG-2, Dolby Digital and DTS) .

If connect through a network hub or a switch, please use a regular Ethernet cable. 3. If connect direct to your PC, pleas e use a cross-over Ethernet cable.

User can choose to configure in manual or automatic mode. In Manual mode, fill in all the fields listed in the IP Config setup page and press “ Save” .

If your TV is NOT multi-system, the following symptoms may indicate that the incorrect output setting has been selected for the DVD-V888N: 1.

- 30 - Parental control (DVD only) DVD movies may contain scenes unsuitable for viewing by children. Such discs may contain “Parental Control” information that ap p lies to the complete disc or to ce rtain scenes on the disc. Scenes ar e rated from 1 to 8; the ra tings are country dependent.
