Before starting the installatio n of the operator , the door must be in good working condition and p roper ly counterbalanced. Inspec t the door and trac k for loose or missing hardware. T est the door manually for balance and ea se of oper ation. Lubricate door hinges and rollers.

CHAIN HOIST AND F LOOR DISCONNECT INSTALLATION If the operator is furnished with a chain hoist (Mo del H -S), pass t he hand chain over the chain wheel and through the c hain guides on the operator clutch shaft ( opposite end from the lar ge pulley).

4) Depress the limit nut retaini ng Plate (D) so it disengages from the slots in the limit nut s. Turn the OPEN limit nut (E) on the shaft until it engage s the Open Limit S witch (A). You will need to listen for an audib le click. Release t he retaining plate and be sure that it engage s in slots of bo th limit nuts.

AVOID ELECTROCUTION: DO NOT ROUTE LOW VOLTAGE WIRES IN SAME CONDUIT AS HIGH VOLTAGE WIRES. FOLLOW ALL LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES OR THE NAT IONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. WARNING FAILURE TO TEST REVERSING SYSTEM COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY. TEST THIS SYSTEM ONCE A MONTH.
Changing the S witch Selectable Opera tion Modes The following modes are selected b y setting the on -board dip switches, Figure 14 at right sho ws where the switches are located on the o perator control b oard. For each Oper ational Mode, the switches are set to either ON or OFF ac cording to the table at right belo w.
Mid -Stop : Activation stops an op ening door; momentary con tact of open button at mid stop will restart d oor to full open position; if door is moving open, constant pressure on open button will bypass mid -stop. Auto Close Timer : N/ A TS Operation Open Button : Momentary activation; op en override of closi ng door.
The solenoid operated brake may require occasiona l adjustment. Adj ustment is necessary i f door tends to drift downward after reaching the op en limit. Follo w the instructions belo w and use Figure 15 as a guide. (1) Loosen shoe adj usting screw and bottom bracket ar m of solenoid.
CLUTCH A DJU STMENT The clutch serves to pr otect the do or, the electric operato r and other equipment from undue s tress or damage caused by starting forces and/or an obstructio n to the door. It should be set no tighter than is necessar y to smoothly and consiste ntly move the door throughout its full ra nge of travel.

Following installation, the op erator MUST be tested and respond correc tly to all controls as specified on the wiri ng diagram. KEEP per sonnel and equip ment clear of the area beneath the door when performing the tests.
