Liebert RAC2-8 • 1 Section 1: Introduction The Liebert RAC2-8 rem otely controls from tw o to eight environm ental units. Each u nit is assigned to a Zone (room ) from 1 to 4. In Zone 1, the largest room , the tem perature and h um idity can be monitored.

Section 3: Operation This chapter describes how to use the RAC2-8. Local The following screen s are displayed at the LCD display built into the RAC2-8 unit con trol panel. Section 3: Operation Status Sub-m enu (cont’d ) The Alarm Delays screen indicates th e time in seconds of an active delay on each u nit. Active alarm delay s count up w hile th e condition is present and count dow n if the condition is cleared before the A larm Delay tim e elapses.

Section 3: Operation The Override function lets y ou m anually force a unit ON or OFF, or to restore a forced un it to the norm al control of the RA C2-8 sy stem . The Overr ide functio n acts immedia tely, igno ring the Hold Delay. An override message w ith tim e stam p is entered in the A larm m em ory buffer.

Zone 1 should be t he lar gest or most impor tant room, it is the only Zone th at can be monitored by a Temp/Hum sen sor, and the only Z one that can be con trolled by Tem perature Staging .
Liebert RAC2-8 • 37 Section 5: Installation Select a location for the RAC2-8 that is conv enient for both operation and cable routing. If th e application at your installation is critical, the location shou ld also provide lim ited access to the controller.
