6 Quick Start F our Steps to Playing Music on iP od shuffle T o set up i P od shuffle, you install software from the iP od CD , and import songs from your music CD collection or purchase songs from the iT unes Music Store (available in some coun tries only).

8 Quick Start T o charge the iPod shuffle ba ttery : When iP od shuffle is connected to a high-power USB port on your computer , the battery charges. The battery status light on the back of iPod shuffle (see page 1 4) is amber when the battery is charging, and green when the battery is fully charged.

12 Transferring and Playing Music T o set iT unes to choose a random selection of songs from your selected source: n Select “Choose songs randomly .” If this option is not selected, iT unes transf ers songs in the order they appear in the selected playlist or Library.
