14 External De vice Connections RS-485 Connection Connect to an e xternal contr oller of RS-485 f ormat. Alarm Connection Connect an e xternal devi ce such as a buzzer or lamp to the ALARM termin al. When the cam era detects m otion, the alarm output si gnal is suppli ed to the conn ected external d evice .
15 Flange-bac k Adjustment The adjustm ent is requir ed only when a len s with- out focus-adjustin g mechanism is moun ted, or when a len s with adjusting mechanism is m ounted and f ocus that is more accur ate is need ed. 1 Loosen the flan ge-back fixing scr ew on the flang e-back adjusting ring.
16 Installation of Camera The br acket can be installed to eith er the top o f the cam era as desir ed. Wh en changin g the positi on of th e camera m ountin g brack et, you should always reuse th e screws that have been rem oved.
17 Menu Operation This camer a utilizes an on-screen user MENU. T o set items on th e menu, use th e followin g buttons on the si de panel. Up button: M oves the cursor upwards . Use this button to select an item or adjust the par ame- ters. Down b utton: Moves the cursor d ownwar ds.

22 Exposure S et tings Shutter Speed Setting (SHUTTER) Note: When [FLICKERLESS] option is set to [ON] on th e [EXPOSURE] men u, this item is not available . 1. Select [EXPOSURE] option on th e [MENU] screen then pr ess , , or button. The EXPOSURE menu appears .
23 Exposure S et tings Y ou can set th e exposure opti ons usin g the [EXPOSURE] m enu. BLC/WDR Setting Use [BLC/WDR] opti on to set the option s for BLC or WDR cam era. 1. Select [EXPOSURE] option on th e [MENU] screen then pr ess , , or button. The EXPOSURE menu appears .
24 Exposure S et tings USER: Y ou can use the user setting f or BLC level and BLC area. • LEVEL: Select a user BLC level to preven t such a back li ght effect to secure a clear im age . • AREA: Select a user area to pr event su ch a back light effect to secure a clear im age .
25 White Balance S et tings Y ou can set th e white balance option s using th e [WHITE BALANCE] menu . 1. Select [WHITE BAL] opti on on the [MENU] screen. 2. Press , , or button and the WHITE B ALANCE men u appears. 3. T o r eset the [WHITE BALANCE] settin gs to factory settin g, select [INITIAL SET] option th en press on the [WHITE BALANCE] menu .
26 White Balance S et tings Setting the WB (White Balance) Mode Y ou can select on e of three m odes f or white balance adjustm ent as follows: 1. Select [WHITE BALANCE ] opti on on the [MENU] screen th en press , , or button. The WHITE BALANCE m enu appears .

28 Da y/Night Set ting It is a fun ction of a color cam era to d elete the filter with th e IR Cut functi on in an illumination below th e stand ard value so that it has a better sensitivity . 1. 29 Motion Detector S et ting (MO TION DET) The m otion detector d etects the m oving objects in th e scene by monitorin g changes in bri ghtn ess level.
30 Motion Detector S et ting (MO TION DET) This camer a has an alarm function. Wh en the pi cture chan ges , the intern al switch is closed. • Sensitivity Moti on is detected when th e accumulated value o f chang ed brigh tness level ex ceeds 10% (MEDIUM mod e) of r eferen ce in mor e than one area.
31 P rivac y Masking Set ting This functi on is aiming at the pr otection o f personal privacy , select- ing a scr een part black not to be displayed in the scr een. This func- tion permits th e control o f the str ength level in 8 levels . Y ou m ay setup the size an d location of th e area.
