When playback is activated, pressing the Pause button activates pause mode at the current playback time. In some cases, a still frame image appears on the associated display device screen.

REAR P ANEL OVERVIEW The RT -10 is manufactured for sale in several different countries. Each version features a rear panel that includes connectors and safety instructions appropriate to that particular region. Note: The rear panel shown on the next page includes all possible connectors.
Damaged power cords can cause fire or electric shock. Please observe the follo wing when handling power cords: • Handle power cords at the plug. • Nev er disconnect power cords by pulling on the cord. • Nev er touch power cords with wet hands, as this could cause shor t circuit or electric shock.

Audio DRC (Dynamic Range Control) Off, On Controls the dynamic range of Dolby Digital-encoded sources. When On is selected, the RT -10 reduces the dynamic range of high-level peaks. As a result, low-level sounds become more audible. When Off is selected, the RT -10 maintains the original dynamic range of low- and high-level sounds.

Playback Controls Lexicon 4-16 SLOW PLA YBACK • The remote control Pause, , and buttons can be used to activate slow playback, which plays the loaded disc at 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 regular playback speed in the selected direction. • Video CDs are not compatible with reverse slow playback.

The table on page 4-12 indicates the repeat playback modes available for each disc format.

In some cases, the remote control +10 button must be used to enter values 10 and above. Press the +10 button once for numbers in the teens, twice for numbers in the twenties, and so on.
