3 1. Overvie w Following h igh standard of Megapixel IP Camera, the HD W DR IP Camera holds pioneer image setting functions to prov ide the best image quality. Adopting su perior Sony image sensor, the IP Ca mera is highly s ensitive a nd has good low-light performance.
4 1.2 Package Contents The HD W DR IP Camera’s standard p ackage contains the items as shown below. Contents will var y am ong different m odels. Please c heck the list as follows for details.
5 2. Introduction of I P Camera This ch apter will provide the ca mera dimensions for reference before installation. Definition of each connector on the came ra’s rear board will also be specified.

8 3. Preparations for IP Camera Setup This chapter ou tlines info rmation about system requirements for IP Ca mera operation, procedures of cam era connection, and login to the camera.
9 Check the status of the link indicator and activ ity indicator LEDs; if the LEDs are unlit, please check LAN connectio n. Green Link Light indicates goo d network connection. 10 3.3 A ccessing IP Camera For initial access to the IP Cam era, users can search the came ra through the installer pro gram: DeviceSearch.exe, which can be fo und in “DeviceSea rch” folder in the supplied CD. Device Search Software Setup Step 1: Double click on the p rogram Device Search.
11 Device Search Step 3: Click “Device Se arch” a gain, an d all the finding IP devices will be listed in the page, as sh own in the f igure below. Th e IP Ca mera’s default IP address is: 192.168.0.250 . Step 4: Double click o r right click and select “Browse” to a ccess th e camera directly via web browser.

Digital Zoom Control In the full screen mode, users can implement dig ital z oom by rotating the mouse wheel (for zoom in/out) and dragging the mo use into any direction.
21 4.3 System Relat ed Settings The figure below shows all categories un der the “ System ” tab. Each category in the left column will be explained in the following sections. NOTE : The “System” configuration p age is only accessible by Administrator .
22 4.3.1 Host Name an d S y stem Tim e Setting Press the f irst category: <System > in the left co lumn; the page is shown a s below. Host Name The name is f or ca mera identification.
23 Manual The Administrator can set video date, time and day manually. Entry format should be identical with that shown next to the enter field. Sync with NTP Server Network T ime Protocol (NTP) is an alternate way to synchron ize your camera’s clock with a NTP server.

26 4.3.3 Netw ork Click <Network> in the left column, and the page will display as sh ow n below. Users can ch oose to c onnect to th e IP Camera with fixed or dy namic (DH CP) IP address. The I P Came ra also provides PPPo E support for us ers w ho connect to the network via PPP over Etherne t (PPPoE).
27 3.3 Accessing IP Camera for login with the default IP address. If select “ Get IP address automaticall y ”, af ter the IP Camera restarts, users can search it through the installer program: DeviceSearch .exe, which ca n be found in “DeviceSea rch” folde r in the supplied CD.
28 • IP address This is necessary for network identification. • Subnet ma sk It is used to determine if t he de stination is in the same subnet. The default value is “255.255.255.0”. • Default gatew ay This is the gateway used to fo rward frames to destinations in d ifferent subnet.
29 • RTSP port RTSP p ort could be set from 1 to 65535. (Normal Setting Port: 55 4, 1024 ~65535) • MJPEG over HTTP port The default setting of HTTP Port is 8008; setting range: 1024 ~65535. NOTE: Be aware to choose the di fferent port from the one set for the web server port.

31 4.3.4 DDNS Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) allows a hos t n ame to be constantly synchronized with a dynamic IP add ress. In other words, it allows those using a dynamic IP address to be associated to a s tatic domain name so ot hers can connect to it by name.

40 4.3.8 Motion Detec tion Motion De tection f unction allows detectin g suspicious motion a nd triggering alarms when motion volume in the detected area reaches/ex ceeds the determined sensitivity threshold value. In the Moti on Detection setting page, there is a frame ( Motion D etection Window ) displayed on the Live Video Pane.
41 If Motion Detection function is activated, the pop-off window (Motion ) with indication of motion will be shown. W hen motion is detected, the signals will be displayed on the Motion w indow as shown below.
42 • Sensitivity level [1-100]: The default level is 80, which means if 20% o r more sampling pixels are detected differently, system will detect motion. The big ger the value, the more sensitive it is. Mean while, when the value is bigger, the red horizontal line in the motio n indication window will be lo wer accordingly.
43 • Upload Image by E-Mail Select this item, and the Administrator can assign an e-mail address and configure various parameters as shown in th e figure below . 44 4.3.9 Storage Mana gement Users can implement local record ing to the Micr o SD/SDHC card. NOTE: Please f ormat the Micro S D/SDHC card first before recording starts. Device information If a Micro SD/SDHC card is ins talled, the card information such as the memory capacity and status will be shown at Device Information section.

49 4.3.13 View Log File Click on the link to view the system log file. The content of t he f ile provides useful information about configuration and connections after system boot-up.
50 4.3.14 View User Information The Administrator can view each added user’s l ogin information and privileges (see 4.3.2 Security ) . View User Login Information All the users in the network will b e listed in the “User information” zone, as shown below.
