Battery Charging E Important Notes • Y our new battery must be c harged f or at least 18 hours bef ore y ou use it in y our vehicle f or the first time. • W e recommend that you star t charging y our batter y bef ore beginning assembly of y our new vehicle .

• P osition the v ehicle body upright. • Fit and hold a rear wheel driv er against the motor pins on one end of the motor assembly . • While holding the rear wheel driv er in place, slide the rear axle into the hole in the opposite side of the motor assembly .
• Slide a w asher onto one of the front axles. • Slide a round b ushing, r ing side first, onto the same front axle. • Slide a wheel onto the front axle . • Slide a hubcap onto the front axle . • Slide a he x bushing, barrel side first, onto the front axle.
TM 11 Assembl y • Press the tab under the bac k of the seat and lift to remov e the seat. • Fit the rectangular opening in the co wling ov er the shifter handle. • Align the front, side and rear tabs on the co wling with the slots in the v ehicle body but do not snap the tabs into the slots.
• Lift the front end of the v ehicle. • Slide the str aight end of the steering column through the hole in the upper steering linkage and out through the hole in the v ehicle body . • Insert the cur ved end of the steering column into the hole in the lower steering linkage .
13 Steering Column Helpful Hint: Y ou may w ant the help of another adult to suppor t the steering column near the steering linkage while assembling the handlebar to the v ehicle body . • Slide the steering bushing, narrow side do wn, onto the steering column and into the neck of the v ehicle body .
Assembl y • Bend the plastic tip at the end of the microphone cord so that it f orms a "T". • Inser t the "T" end of the microphone cord into the hole in the console. Pull gently on the microphone cord to make sure it is secure in the console.

When applying labels, k eep the f ollowing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the v ehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remo ve an y dust or oils.

17 Important Note: Use only a P ow er Wheels ® batter y with A-style connector and built-in thermal fuse. Use of any other batter y can damage y our v ehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® Super 6 ™ volt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf ormation below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a physician.

Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle does not run Undercharged batter y Charge the batter y . A new batter y should hav e been charged for at least 18 hours bef ore using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the batter y f or at least 14 hours after each use.
T ripped ther mal fuse The b uilt-in thermal fuse in the batter y may "trip" and shut down operation of the v ehicle if the vehicle is o v erloaded or the driving conditions too sev ere. The fuse will automatically reset itself after approximately 25 seconds , allowing the vehicle to resume normal operation.
