Battery Charging E About Thermal Fuses Y our P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt batter y is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The ther mal fuse is a self-resetting saf ety device which automatically “trips” and shuts down operation of the v ehicle if the vehicle is ov erloaded or the driving conditions too sev ere.
Battery Charging • Plug the charger connector into the batter y . • Plug the charger into a standard 120 v olt wall outlet . Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled by a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Bef ore first-time use, charge the batter y for at least 18 hours.
Assembly • P osition the v ehicle body upside down. Note: The mudflaps are marked “R” and “L ” to designate right and left. • With the “R” marking facing up , align the two round holes in the right mudflap with the pegs on the inside of the right fender .
• P osition the v ehicle body upr ight. F ace the back end of the vehicle body . Hint: Y ou will need to temporarily hold the remaining rear wheel driver onto the motor assemb ly to proper ly position the rear axle assembly into the motor assemb ly .
• F ace the front end of the v ehicle body . • Slide a washer onto one of the front axles. • Slide a round bushing, ring end first, onto the front axle. • Slide a wheel (ribbed side first) onto the front axle. • Slide a hubcap (indented side out) onto the front axle.
• Lift the front end of the v ehicle. • Slide the tabbed end of the steering column through the slot in the upper steering linkage and out through the hole in the vehicle body . • Inser t the cur ved end of the steering column into the hole in the lower steering linkage.
Assembly Steering Column Handlebar Assembly Neck Groov e Bottom Handlebar Cov er • Fit the bottom handlebar cov er onto the end of the steering column. Make sure the rim on the bottom handlebar cov er fits into the hole in the vehicle body . • Fit the handlebar assembly , neck side do wn, onto the end of the steering column.
• While pushing the top handlebar cov er and the fairing together , inser t four #8 x 3 / 4 " scre ws through screw tab in the top handlebar cov er and into the fairing. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdriver . Do not ov er-tighten.
Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the following guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove an y dust or oils.

IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt batter y with built-in thermal fuse. Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Make sure that y ou charge the batter y f or at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 volt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

• Make sure the shifter is in the LO W SPEED position. • Press the f oot pedal. The vehicle will driv e forward at a maximum of 2 1 / 2 mph. • Help your child pr actice steer ing to lear n how f ar and how quic kly to tur n the handlebar when dr iving f orward in low speed.
IMPORT ANT! T o av oid damaging the motors and gears, stop the vehicle bef ore shifting between low and high speed. • Make sure the shifter is in the HIGH SPEED position. • Press the f oot pedal. The vehicle will driv e forward at a maximum of 5 mph.
