Insert the batteries into the remote control by matching the polarity (+ and − ) correctly . • If the range or effectiveness of the remote con- trol decreases, replace both batteries.
5 Prep arat ion Setting up the AM loop a ntenna NOTE • Keep the AM loop antenna ca ble wrapped around the AM loop ante nna frame, otherwise the effectiveness and sens itivity of the AM loop antenna may be reduced. Connecting the AM loop antenna T urn the AM loop antenna to find the best position for radio reception.
Prep arat ion 6 Connect the speakers to the ma in unit by connecting th e colored co nnectors to the same color terminals on the rear of the main unit . ■ IMPORT ANT • Improper speaker cable con nection reduces the stereo effect and sound quality .
7 Prep arat ion The left and right speakers can be fitted onto commercially available speaker stands. Before fitting the speak- ers onto commercially available speaker sta nds, follow the instructions shown below . Left and right speakers for NX-F7 Detach the original speaker stands.
Prep arat ion 8 After connecting a TV , foll ow the instructi ons on pages 1 1 and 12. ■ IMPORT ANT • Connect the main unit directly to a TV (or a mo n- itor) without routing through a video cassette record er (VCR). Ot herw ise picture distortion may occur during playback.
9 Prep arat ion This system can output uncompressed digital video signals to a TV compatible with HDMI (High Definition Multim edia Interface). NOTE • The HDMI video signal type can be checked w ith the “HDMI” indicator in the display window . (Refer to “Selecting the video signal type” on pag e 1 1 .
Prep arat ion 10 Before connecting the power cable to an AC outlet, you must set the correct vo ltage for your area. Slide the volt age selector on the main unit to the correct volt age for your area. • Confirm that the position of the voltage selector corresponds to the voltage in your area.
11 Prep arat ion T o view an image on the TV screen, select the video signal type correctly according to the TV after connecting the main unit to th e TV . ■ IMPORT ANT • Slide the remote control mo de selector to [SHIFT]. 1 T urn on the main unit.
Prep arat ion 12 NOTE • “480”, “576”, “720” and “1080” refer to the num- ber of the scanning lines. Genera lly , the larger the number , the better picture that can be obtained. • “I” refers to the interlac ed format. “P” refers to the progressive format.

Basic operations 16 When the time you specify elapses, the main unit automatically turns off. Press [SLEEP]. • Each time you press [SLEEP], the time indicated in the display window changes. Y ou can set the time to 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 or 180 minutes.

The operations are explained with a display of MP3 files as an example.
