30 Disc operations The disc type is automatically detected, then playback starts (for some discs, the top menu of the disc appears). If a disc does not have any disc menu, all tracks on it will be played repeatedly until you change the source or eject the disc.

37 OPERATIONS To select a different source (main source) to listen to through the speakers Press SOURCE on the monitor panel. • By using the touch panel, you can operate the newly selected source without affecting Dual Zone (Disc) operations. • You cannot select “USB” for the main source.
38 Operations using the control screen For discs except DVD and VCD: While Dual Zone is on, these operations are possible on the external monitor using the remote controller. The control screen automatically appears when you insert a disc. (For DivX/MPEG1/MPEG2/JPEG; while not playing.
39 OPERATIONS Operations using the list screen For discs other than DVD, VCD, and CD While Dual Zone is on, these operations are possible on the external monitor using the remote controller. While not playing... 1 Display the list screen. 2 Select a folder on the list.
40 USB operations You can connect a USB mass storage class device such as a USB memory, Digital Audio Player, portable HDD, etc. to the unit. • You can also connect the iPod/iPhone to the USB terminal of the unit.
41 EXTERNAL DEVICES Using the Bluetooth® devices Bluetooth is a short-range wireless radio communication technology for the mobile device such as mobile phones, portable PCs, and other devices. The Bluetooth devices can be connected without cables and communicate with each other.

43 EXTERNAL DEVICES When an SMS comes in... If the cellular phone is compatible with SMS (Short Message Service), the unit tells you a message has been received. To read a received message, operate the cellular phone after stopping the car in a safe place.

49 EXTERNAL DEVICES EXT-INPUT You can connect an external component to the CD changer jack on the rear using the Line Input Adapter, KS-U57 (not supplied) or AUX Input Adapter, KS-U58 (not supplied). Preparation: Make sure < External > is selected for < External Input >.
50 Caution on cleaning the unit Do not use any solvent (for example, thinner, benzine, etc.), detergent, or insecticide. This may damage the monitor or the unit. Recommended cleaning method: Gently wipe the panel with a soft, dry cloth. How to clean the connector Frequent detachment will deteriorate the connectors.
