– 6 – English 1 Attach the FM antenna to the FM [75 Ω ] coaxial terminal. 2 Extend the FM antenna. 3 Fasten it up in the position which gi ves y ou the best reception, then f ix it on the wall, etc. About the supplied FM antenna The FM antenna supplied with this unit can be used as temporary measure.
– 7 – English 1 Press and hold the clamp of the AM terminal on the rear of the unit. 2 Insert the end of the AM loop antenna cord into the terminal. • If the AM loop antenna wire is cov ered with vinyl, remo ve the vinyl by twisting it as shown in the diagram.

– 9 – English Canceling the Display Demonstration When connecting the A C po wer cord into a wall outlet, the unit automatically starts display demonstration. On the unit ONL Y : T o cancel the display demonstration, press CANCEL/DEMO. When you pr ess other buttons The display demonstration stops temporarily .

– 11 – English Adjusting the Volume Y ou can adjust the v olume level only while the unit is tur ned on. T urn the VOLUME contr ol clockwise to increase the v olume or counterclockwise to decr ease it. • The volume le vel can be adjusted in 32 steps (V OL MIN, V OL 1 — V OL 30, and V OL MAX).

– 15 – English 3 Press one of the disc number buttons (CD1, CD2 or CD3) f or the disc you want to start to play fr om. CD play starts from the first track of the selected disc. • Pressing CD 6 instead of the disc number buttons starts playing back if a CD is on the trays.
– 16 – English Programing the Playing Order of the T racks —– Program Play Y ou can arrange the order in which the tracks play bef ore you start playing. Y ou can pr ogram up to 32 tracks. • T o use Repeat play (see page 17) for Program play , press REPEA T after starting Program play .
– 17 – English Playing at Random —– Random Play The tracks of the selected CD will play at random. • T o use Random play , you hav e to cancel the Program play . 1 Load a CD. 2 Press one of the disc number buttons (CD1, CD2, and CD3) f or the disc you want to play , then press 7 .
– 18 – English Playing Back T apes Playing Back a T ape 1 Press EJECT ( 0 ) f or the deck you want to use. 2 Put a cassette in, with the exposed part of the tape down and the side y ou want to play facing front. • Y ou can play back only type I tapes.
– 19 – English Recording a T ape on Deck B On the unit ONL Y : 1 Press EJECT 0 f or deck B. 2 Put a recordable cassette in, with the exposed part of the tape down and the side y ou want to record facing fr ont. 3 Close the cassette holder gently .
– 20 – English CD Synchronized Recording Y ou can easily record a CD onto a tape. • Y ou can also record the tracks in order you hav e made the program. On the unit ONL Y : 1 Put a recordable cassette into deck B. 2 Place a disc correctly on the r ecess of the disc tray , with its label side up.
– 21 – English T o apply an echo to your voice Press ECHO on the remote control so that the echo ( ) indicator lights up on the display . Each time you press the button, the echo le vel changes as follo ws: ECHO 2 applies stronger echo effect to your v oice.
