7 Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be r emov ed befor e using the appliance. Y ou ar e advised to k eep all the packaging for re-use in case the machine is to be transported again. Using a spanner unscre w and r emov e the rear right bolt.
8 Building-in This appliance has been designed to be built into the kitchen furniture. The recess should ha ve the dimensions shown in pictur e A. When installing the appliance into the kitchen furnitur e ensure, if possible, the hoses are placed in either of the two r ecesses on the back of the appliance .
9 Recommendations r egar ding the construction and fitting of a base when the installation r equir es an integrated appliance to be raised Where the a ppliance has been raised by mounting onto a wooden base pr ovided by the installer .
W ater inlet Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thr ead. Alwa ys use the hose supplied with the appliance to connect to the water supply . Do not use pre viously used hoses f or water connection.
11 W ater drainag e This appliance is designed to be permanently plumbed into your home's drainage system using one of the following methods. 1. Into a drainag e standpipe. Firstly form a hook in the end of the drain hose using the “U” piece” supplied.
12 In the inter est of the en vir onment W ashing machines and dishwashers should be connected to the FOUL drainage system, the water will then be tak en to a sewage w orks for treatment befor e being discharged safely into a riv er .
13 The rating plate is located at the top of the rim of the open door . The appliance is supplied with a 13amp plug fitted. In the ev ent of ha ving to change the fuse in the plug supplied, a 13amp AST A appr ov ed (BS1363/A) fuse must be used. Should the plug need to be replaced f or any r eason, pr oceed as described below .
14 1 Detergent dispenser dra wer 2 Mains-on light This light comes on when the “ On/Off ” button is pressed, and g oes out when it is pressed again. 3 “On/Off ” button Press this button to s witch the machine on. Press it again to switch the machine off.
15 • “ Quick” : select this option for laundry that is only slightly soiled in or der to obtain a good wash r esult in a short time . This option is not a vailable with the W ool pr ogrammes, the Energy saving pr ogrammes “ Econom y ” and “ 30 Minute wash ” .
16 (If, at the end of a washing cycle, the programme selector dial has not been turned to “Off ” position , when you pr ess the “On/Off ” button to switch the machine on for the next washing, the displa y will show a blinking zer o .
17 • An incorr ect option selection has been made : this is indicated by the message Err when a function incompatible with the curr ent pr ogramme is selected. • An alarm code indicates a fault in the machine operation (see page 31, "Something Not W orking").
18 Easy ir on 40° With this pr ogramme at 40°C it is possible to wash synthetic garments which must be ir oned. The laundr y is gently washed and spun to pr ev ent the fabrics from creasing. Max. load 1 kg. Final spin speed 900 r .p .m. Soak 30° This is a special pr ogramme for hea vily soiled laundr y .
19 Operating Sequence Befor e the first wash, we r ecommend that you run a cotton c ycle at 90°C , without any laundr y in the mac hine , to remo ve any manufacturing residue fr om the drum and tub. Pour 1/2 a measur e of detergent into the dispenser dr awer and star t the mac hine .
20 6. Select the spin speed or the “Rinse hold” option Press the “ Spin ” button r epeatedly in order to select the desired spin speed or the “ Rinse hold ” option. If you select the “ Rinse hold ” option, the machine will stop at the end of the pr ogramme with the water still in the tub.
21 21 11. Ho w to inter rupt a pr ogramme Depress the “ Start/P ause ” button to interrupt a pr ogramme which is running, the corr esponding light starts to flash.

23 6. Select the requir ed options by means of the relevant buttons. If possible, do not select a spin speed lower than that pr oposed by the appliance to a void a too long dr ying time so sa ving energy . In any case the r eduction of the spin speed is only possible after selecting dr ying.

29 Maintenance and Cleaning Befor e any maintenance or cleaning is car ried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply . Descaling The water we use normall y contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
30 Unscre w and r emov e the filter . Clean carefull y under a fast running tap . W arning When the appliance is in use and depending on the pr ogramme selected there can be hot water in the pump . Nev er remov e the pump cov er during a wash cycle, alwa ys wait until the appliance has finished the cycle, and is empty .
