Your Jenn-Air convection oven combines the best of four cooking methods:conventional baking or roasting, convection baking, convection roasting, and broiling, in a self-cleaning oven. The Jenn-Air convection oven is actually a conventional oven that circulates heated air within the oven.

The rack positions noted are generally recommended for the best browning results and most efficient cooking times. For many food items, excellent results can be achieved when using one of several different rackpositions . Referto baking and roasting sections for recommendations for specific foods .

For best results , bake foods on one rackat a time as d e scribedin this manual . Howev e r , very good results can be obtained when baking quantities of foods on multiple racks.
• Preheating is not neces s ary. • For op e n p a n ro a sting, p la c e meat or poultry on the slotted portion of the two-pie c e pan included with the oven. Do not add water to the pan . Use open pan roasting for tender cuts of meat. Less tender cuts of meat need to be cooked by moist heat in a covered pan.
Chart time i s based on thawed meats only. • T ender cuts of meat and poultry can be roasted to a rich golden brown in the c o nv ec ti o n ov e n. Follow gen e r a l rec o mmend a ti o ns for roasting and use ¢ o nv e c t Roast . • Refer to convection meat roasting chart for recommended cooking temperature and time.

Fifteen seconds later, the Display will return to currenttime of day and the Indicator Word TIMED win appear in the Display. 8. Touch Stop Time Pad. Indicator Words STOP TIME will flash. Display will show the calculated stop time based on current time of day and cook time.
• The probe should be located in the center of the thickest part of a roast. Plan the placement of the probe tip by laying it lengthwise on the outside of the meat, marking with finger where edge of meat comes on the probe. Insert probe into thickest part of muscle up to the marking held by finger.

When the oven controls are set to CLEAN, the oven heats to temperatures that are higher than th o se use d f o r co oking. The hig h t e mp e ratur e scaus e fo o d s o il to burn o ff and substantially disappear . While this occurs, a device in the oven vent helps to consume normal amounts of smok e .

Depending on the l eng t h of time the o ven had been self-clean i ng, it may take up to 45 minutes for the o v e n to cool down, th e door t o unlo c k a nd co o ling fan to turn off .
• Ifrack s ha v ebeenleftinovend u ringthe e leaningprocess, theyshouldbetreated as follows. After th e cleaning process is c om pleted a n d th e ove n has c ooled, buff the underside of rack edges with Scotch-Brite scour pad or rub lightly the underside of rack edges with a coating of vegetable oil.
Control Panel Ar e a and Display Window Wipe with soft cloth dampened with soapy water or glass cleaner. Do not spray any c leaning solutions directly onto the display window or us e larg e amounts of soap and water . Do not scrub with S.O . S. pads or abrasive cleaners.
The oven temperature can be adjusted if all oven temperatures are too low or too high and the length of time to cook ALL foods is too long or too short. Do NOT adjust the temperature if only one or two items are not baking properly . To adjust 1. Touch th e Bake Pad.
Check the following list to be sure a servi c e call is realiy necessary. A quick reference of this manual may prevent an unneeded service call. If nothing on the oven operates: • check for a blown circuit fuse or a tripped main circuit breaker. • check if oven is properly connected to ele c tric outlet.
