Combined Boot User Manual Pa ge 8 Configuring x86 BootBIOS Introduction The BIOS utility allows you to cha nge HBA parameters (such as topology, PLOGI re try timer and auto scan setting) and configure boot devices. • Default settings are acceptable for most in stallations.

This option is especially useful for Tachyon-based RAID arrays. Under ve ry rare occasions , a Tachyo n-based RAID array will reset itself and the port will go o ffline temporarily in the loop.
