A jump er is a metal bridge used to close an electric cir- cuit. It consists of two metal pins and a small metal clip (often protected by a plastic cover ) that slides over the p ins to connect them.

17 Chapter 2 Installatio n them. The f ront panel co nnector (CN 13) is an 8- pin male, dual in-li ne header . It provides connections for a s p eaker , hard disk acces s indicator , watchdog output, and an input switch for resetting the card.
