English – 5 SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Vibration damping system Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to minimize vibration and mak e operation easier . Use of incorrectly wound cord or an incorrect cutting attachment increases the le vel of vibr ation.

10 – English SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Cutting • The trimmer is ideal for cutting gr ass that is difficult to reach using a normal lawn mower . K eep the cord parallel to the ground when cutting. A void pressing the trimmer head against the ground as this can ruin the lawn and damage the tool.

12 – English ASSEMBL Y Fitting the loop handle • P osition the handle on the shaft. Note that the handle must be mounted below the arro w on the shaft. • Fit the screw , secur ing plate and wing nut as shown in the diagram. • Tighten the wing nut.
English – 13 ASSEMBL Y Fitting the trimmer guar d and trimmer head (123C) Guard • Fit the guard as shown in the diagr am. Tighten securely . T rimmer head • Fit the dust cup on the shaft. The nut must be completely cov ered by the dust cup . • Hold the dust cup with a spanner to pre vent the shaft from rotating.
14 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel CA UTION! The machine is equipped with a two-strok e engine and must alwa ys been run using a mixture of gasoline and two-strok e engine oil. It is impor tant to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mix ed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained.
English – 15 FUEL HANDLING Fuelling • Clean the area around the fuel cap . Contamination in the tank can cause operating prob lems. • Ensure that the fuel is well mix ed by shaking the container bef ore filling the tank.
16 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k bef ore star ting • Check that the support flange is not crack ed due to f atigue or due to being tightened too much. Discard the suppor t flange if it is crac ked. • Ensure the locking n ut has not lost its captive f orce.
English – 17 ST AR TING AND ST OPPING W arm engine Ignition: Set the stop s witch to the star t position. Choke: Set the throttle to the star t position by mo ving the choke control to the chok e position and then retur ning it to its original position.
18 – English MAINTENANCE Carb urettor Y our Husqvarna product has been designed and manuf actured to specifications that reduce har mful emissions. After the engine has used 8-10 tanks of fuel the engine will be run-in.
English – 19 MAINTENANCE Fine adjustment of the idle speed T Adjust the idle speed using the idle adjustment screw T , if it is necessar y to readjust. First tur n the idle adjustment screw T clockwise until the cutting attachment starts to rotate. Then turn the screw anticlockwise until the cutting attachment stops.
20 – English MAINTENANCE Cooling system T o keep the working temperature as low as possib le the machine is equipped with a cooling system. The cooling system consists of: 1 Air intake on the starter . 2 Fins on the fl ywheel. 3 Cooling fi ns on the cylinder .
English – 21 MAINTENANCE Put the fi lter in a plastic bag and pour the fi lter oil ov er it. Knead the plastic bag to distribute the oil. Squeeze the e xcess oil out of the fi lter inside the plastic bag and pour off the e xcess bef ore fi tting the fi lter to the machine.
