5 2 Setting Network Access Paramet ers 2.1 Logging I n to the W eb - ba sed Configuration Utility Most of the H G630 a parameters ar e preset before de livery to m eet common home applic ation scen arios. T o check the HG630a 's working status or config ure certain advanced net work funct ions, use the w eb - base d configurat ion utilit y .
6 After the s ystem verifies your account infor mation, the web - based configur ation utility is displayed. 2.2 Configuring a Dial - up Connection for Internet Access The HG630a works in rout ing mode by defaul t. And the HG630a st arts to set up a dial - up connect ion automati cally after the startup.
7 Step 6 Check that t he wireless name you set is correct , and then c lick Submit . Then check the s tatus of the Intern et indicator . W hen the Internet indicator turns green, you can access the Int ernet. T he preceding operat ions need only b e performed on a com puter once.

10 4 Maintenance Guide 4.1 Changing the User Name and Passw o rd for the Web - Based Configuration Utili ty For securit y reasons or to mak e the password easy to r emember , you can change the user name and password for th e web - based config uration util ity .
11 Using the WLAN Button T o enable or disable th e wireless net work funct ion, press th e WL AN button on the side panel of the H G630a over 1 second.
12 R emember the ne w wireless net work name and password you jus t set. Y ou will be prompted to enter this passwor d when connec ting wireles s devices, suc h as a computer , t o the HG630a 's wireless network.
13 4.5 Restoring D efault Settings If you restore t he HG630a to i ts default settin gs, all customi zed user data will be lost. Use this f unction only when necessary . T o res tore the HG 630a to its default set tings, po wer on the HG 630a , p ress and hold the Reset button on the r ear panel for over 6 secon ds, and then rele ase the button.
14 5 Applications Guide 5.1 Acc essing a Portab le Sto rage Device Using the FTP Client The HG630a supp orts a home storage a nd printing f unction. A fter a portable storage device is connected t o the USB port , you can conf igure the HG630a through the FT P server to access the por table storage devi ce from the LA N or Internet.
15 5.2 Allowing Internet U sers to Access a n Internal Resou rc e Server Without speci al settings, Internet us ers cannot ac cess the w eb or FTP servers on a LAN. By using t he network address translat ion (NA T ) function of the HG630a , speci fied Internet us ers are allo wed to acces s the w eb and FT P servers on a LAN.
