3 Set tin g U p t h e Monitor T o set up the monitor , ensure that the power is turned of f to the monitor , computer system, and other attached de vices, then follo w the steps below . Installin g t he Monitor P edestal T o install the monitor pedestal: 1.
Setting Up the Monito r 2. Using both hands, position the monitor ov er the pedestal base and press do wn firmly to lock the pedestal base in place. When the base locks, it will make a clicking sound. Mak e sure the pedestal base is securely locked before continuing with the setup.
Setting Up the Monitor Conn ec tin g t he Monitor 1. Place the monitor in a con venient, well-ventilated location near your computer . 2. Connect the monitor signal cable on the back of the monitor to the video connector on the rear panel of the computer .

4 O peratin g t he Monitor Soft w are an d Utiliti es The monitor includes a CD that contains two f iles you can install on your computer: ■ an .INF (Information) f ile ■ an .ICM (Image Color Matching) f ile Adobe Acrobat Reader is supp lied on this CD and can be installed from the menu.
Oper ating the Monitor work through separate BNC type connectors or through distrib ution buf fers/boxes. Y ou may need to install the .INF f ile if these conditions are not met. The Ima ge C ol or Ma tc hin g File The .ICM f ile provides accurate color representation.
Oper ating the Monitor 6. Ensure that the proper resolution and refresh rates appear in the W indo ws Display control panel. ✎ Y ou may need to install the digitally signed monitor .INF and .ICM f iles manually from the CD in the ev ent of an installation error .

Oper ating the Monitor Adjus ting Monitor Set ting s Use the On-Screen Display (OSD) to adjust the screen image based on your vie wing preferences. T o access the OSD, do the follo wing: 1. If the monitor is not already on, press the Po wer switch to turn on the monitor .
Oper ating the Monitor 6. After adjusting the function, select Sav e and Return, or Cancel if you don’ t want to sav e the setting, then select Exit from the Main Menu.
Oper ating the Monitor The Adv anced OSD Menu has up to three sublev els and can be vie wed in one of six av ailable languages. The follo wing table provides the menus and their functions at each le v.

Oper ating the Monitor For more precise adjustments, run the Adjustment P attern provided on the CD and use the Clock and Clock Phase controls (accessible from the OSD menu) as described in the follo wing section.
Oper ating the Monitor Id entif ying Monitor C onditions Special messages will appear on the monitor screen when identifying the follo wing monitor conditions: ■ Input Signal Out of Range— Indicates the monitor does not support the input signal because the resolution and/or refresh rate are set higher than the monitor supports.
Oper ating the Monitor ■ Set On T ime ■ T imer: On/Of f ■ Sleep No w T o set the timer: 1. Press the Menu button on the monitor front panel to display the Adv anced Menu. 2. Scroll do wn and highlight Management. 3. Press the Menu button to select Management.
Oper ating the Monitor 13. Set the T imer mode to On to activ ate the Sleep T imer settings. 14. When you are finished, select Sa ve and Return to e xit the menu. The f ifth selection, Sleep Now , turns the monitor backlights of f immediately and stays in sleep mode until the next On T ime acti vates or a monitor b utton is pressed.

Oper ating the Monitor C han gin g t he C ol or T em perature 1. Press the Menu button on the front panel of the monitor to launch the Main Menu of the OSD. 2. Select Advanced Menu to access all options in the Main Menu. 3. Select Color to display the Color T emperature menu.
Oper ating the Monitor 5. T o acti vate a color prof ile for your monitor , you must set it as the Default Monitor Prof ile. Select “sRGB Color Space Prof ile, ” then click Set as Default button.
