89 Troubleshooting and Support My image is too bright . The fla sh pro v ided too much light. • T urn the flash o ff (see page 3 2). • Mov e back fr om the subjec t. Yo u u s e d EV Compensation when you should not have . Set EV Compensation to 0.
90 HP Photosmart E217 User’s Manual My imag e is too dark. The fla sh was on, but the subjec t was too fa r away . Make sure your subject is within the flash working distance (see page 12 7). If not, try using the Fla sh O ff setting (see page 3 2).
91 Troubleshooting and Support My image is too dark (conti nued) . The Display Brightne ss needs to be adjust ed. Set the Display Brightness in the Setup Menu to Me diu m or High (see page 6 6) . My image is grain y . The ISO Speed setti ng was too high.

When you instal l a memory card , images in internal memory are not v isible . Mov e the images fr om the intern al mem ory to the m emor y c ard ( se e p a g e 7 1 ) o r rem ove the memory card.
93 Troubleshooting and Support The ca mera respond s very sluggishly when trying to review images. A slow opti onal memory card (like an MMC card) that is installed or too many images on the c ard can affect pro cessing times. See Storage on page 129 and Memor y Capacity on page 131 for tip s about memory cards.
