Open the printer by lifting the top cov er . 2 Rotate the car tr idge and gently shake it from side to side to distribute the toner e venly inside the car tr idge.
12 Getting Star ted Guide EN Step 7. Load T ra ys Tr a y 2 T ra y 2 is a 500-sheet tra y . It adjusts for letter , A4, and legal sizes . 1 Pull the tra y completely out of the printer . 2 If the tra y is not already set to the desired paper size , snap the left and right guides into place to match the width of the paper .

T ra y 1 provides a conv enient wa y to print env elopes, transparencies, custom-sized paper , or other type of media without having to unload the other tra ys.

Make sure the printer is switched off . 2 Connect the pow er cord to the printer and a grounded power strip or an A C outlet. Note Only use the pow er cord that came with the printer .

20 Getting Star ted Guide EN Connecting to Ethernet 10Base-T Network Use the RJ-45 por t to connect the pr inter to an Ether net 10-Base-T network. Caution Make sure the printer is turned off before connecting to the RJ-45 por t. • Connect a twisted-pair network cable to the RJ-45 port on the HP JetDirect 600N print server card.
EN Getting Star ted Guide 21 Connecting to Ethernet 10Base2 Network Use the BNC por t to connect the pr inter to an Ether net 10Base2 network. Caution Make sure the printer is turned off before connecting to the BNC por t. • Attach one section of your ThinLAN cable to the BNC “T ” connector.
