26 2. Auxiliary Codes A-2 and Later This diagnostic procedur e is a sequence check that allo ws you t o diagnose the electr ical sy stem and components . Bef ore pr oceeding, chec k f or correct inst allation, adequate wat er pressur e (7 to 1 1 3PSIG), and proper v oltage per unit nameplat e.

30 E. Optional Drain P ump HS-0248 1 . O verview As ice melts, w ater dr ains from the st orage bin into DP . When DP's LF/S closes , DP energiz es and pumps out the water . If wat er cannot be pumped out of DP due to a bloc ked dischar ge hose, bad chec k val ve , or bad DP motor , the wat er lev el r ises and UF/S closes.
31 5) If wat er pumps out properly and DP then de-ener gizes , proceed t o step 6. If wat er does not pump out properl y and/or DP does not de-energiz e, f ollow the st eps below t o pr ime D P. Pr iming Instructions a. Disconnect the icemaker's pow er cord fr om the electr ical outlet, then r econnect to the electrical outlet.
32 3. Float Switc h Cleaning Depending on local wat er conditions, scale ma y build up on F/S . Scale on F/S can cause oat to stic k. In this case, F/S should be cleaned and chec ked. 1) Mov e the power s witch to the "OFF" position, then unplug the icemak er from the electrical outlet.

52 c) Sanitizing Solution Dilute 1 .25 . oz. (37 ml or 2.5 tbs) of a 5.25% sodium hypochlorit e solution (chlorine bleach) with 2.5 g al. (9.5 l) of warm water . This is a minimum amount. Make mor e solution if necessar y . Using a chlorine test strip or other method, conr m that you ha ve a concentration of about 200 ppm.
